steve86 :".. with the remaining 916 covered by health plans sold by private insurers through the online state marketplace. "

And how many of those insurers are going to be arround next year ? .. or the next year ?
OBammaCare is designed to funnel all data ,information , health records, finacial transactions to HHS /IRS .
OBammaCare is designed to eliminate all private healthcare options so that eventually , you will have to go to a "single payer " program.
OBammaCare is designed to be a vehicle for income re-distribution through TAXATION by CONTROL of the marketplace.
OBammaCare is designed to screw up (as evidenced by the website)while eliminating outside competition.
OBammaCare is designed to be an electronic abortion just waiting to happen !!

You’re right about the insurances taking the hit. The next step is insolvency. And that is the progressives’ plan.

it has to be done online at the unsecured website (no https//).

I applied myself using a paper form and it was sent directly to the state health administrator with no involvement of any navigator or website. My information will not be posted to any website --- that's absurd, not going to happen, unrelated, it's going into the same state HCA databases where my state program information is right now.

Additionally, my state's website does use SSL. It probably does not use HttpOnly cookies if that's what you're getting at.

Probably around the same number who are participating now. The reason I say this is that Obamacare provisions are not that big a change for insurers in this state compared to many other states, repugnant as some of the requirements are. It is more an incremental change rather than a dramatically new scenario, the state having been on this path for at least the past 12 or 15 years.

Not that many completed applications are going to be hoaxes since Experian or Equifax (I forget which) is being used to verify identities.

If you take off the last two zeros, you might get closer to the real number.

Would be interesting to hear what the insurance carriers report for the same period of time.

I know many who are friends but trying to get them to see what is happening is a lost cause .

Navigators do have a background check done on them to get hired. And they will help people get an account and enroll while sitting there with those applying (in home or in an office).

Websites are secure, but apparently slow as molasses right now. I’m not surprised so few have actually signed up for an account. Probably even very few have been able to see the plans and choose one, if they get that far through the website.

According to the healthcare websites, people can apply either online, by mail, by phone, or with the help of a Navigator. Lots of folks don’t like giving out personal info that is being asked for, and I don’t blame them. Most likely, with the IRS and Soc. Security databases, the government has all this info on people already.

MailOnline's sources are two Health and Human Services workers who have access to the data as it's crunched

This should keep the NSA employed, working to find the traitorous leaks.

Ha....probably why the main NSA computer center in Utah blew a gasket.

My theory is that at least 20% of the sign ups are with various combinations of Obama's names / social security numbers / birth dates / addresses / etc......snicker

That's why the main NSA computer in Utah recently blew a gasket......trying to pin point the jokers......more snicker

The cost is a driver yes, but I believe a total FEAR of one’s personal data getting compromised is just as strong.

Exactly! Question, do you mean data getting compromised by a third party outside of the federal government such as hackers?

The reason why I ask is that I would be most reluctant to give my data to them after the IRS scandal of targeting political foes and the NSA espionage scandal on Americans who do not have the same political beliefs as this current administration.

That is the thing, where is the LONE person who has actually purchased insurance and how much has that insurance cost that invisible person? I haven’t seen any news outlet anywhere touting that invisible person. Obama and the liberals would have that person on every mainstream media evening news, talking about how Obamacare has saved his or her life.

Our country is going downhill so fast, the internet is just full of vulgar comments and threats and the media is in the pocket of Obama.

Only “hundreds” have been able to sign up for a health care plan at the Obamacare websites. The Wall Street Journal reported:

Okay now we will try the landline # 1-800-318-2596 listed above or 1-800-318-2596 = 1-800-FAU-CKYO.

BIG CAUTION NOTE here. Do not poke around these sign-up sites just for fun. Do not do a sign -up unless you REALLY REALLY want to pursue insurance.

The problem/trick is that once you register-—you are registered FOREVER. You can’t modify, change, delete or otherwise change your mind about the registration.

Besides that there is no guarantee of privacy/confidentially and you will probably wind up on a number of mailing lists. Or you can just go register as a potential brown shirt.

That “lean on/ threaten “ aspect of the program for the young folks turns out to be more of a gummy bear than even a toothless tiger. The only means IRS has of collecting the fine for no insurance is to deduct the fine from any tax return that might be due. None. No other. They can’t tap checking accounts, can’t garnishee wages, can’t sue. Nothing. And that should lead to a huge re-filing of W-4’S to make sure witholding is minimal which in turn is a hit to the treasury’s normal interest-free “float”. Great FUBAR, Obamuzzie GREAT.

The Congressional Budget Office says Obamacare needs at least 7 million customers to stay afloat financially

Er...excuse me CBO, does that 7 million figure imply they're all PAYING participants, or are some/all of them being fully subsidized by us taxpayers because they're all poor welfare recipients?

Absolutely correct. Obamacare was designed to fail. Sebelius and all of the other socialists peddling this nightmare are willing to fall on the sword for Obamacare. They’re willing to suffer the embarrassment and public humiliation because they know they’ll be rewarded handsomely by Obama. They’re willing to go down for the cause.....take a bullet….win one for the gipper. They’re like the jihadist terrorists who strap themselves with bombs and blow themselves up and everybody else with them because they think they’re going to get rewarded with 72 virgins. To these socialist demons, the ultimate goal is single-payer healthcare, and all of Obama’s dummies are meanwhile asleep at the wheel as he rides this baby of a train wreck. They deserve whatever they get or don’t get.

That's almost 3.8%
