A Minnesota legislator wants a provision stripped from the Vikings new stadium lease that would prevent the building from being used by businesses that sell guns and other weapons.
Republican Rep. Pat Garofalo of Farmington said in a letter Thursday that the restriction could discourage hunting and outdoors groups from holding offseason events at the planned $975 million stadium, which is being built with a partial public subsidy. The Associated Press reported on the clause this week that is contained in a 30-year stadium lease.

Well yeah, that’s the point! It took California several years to get the Pomona gun show, and a big one up by SF, but they did eventually. The antis are just getting on on the ground floor here.

Minnesota is a funny state when it comes to firearms.
Kinda bipolar. They’ve had some left-right swings at various levels of govt the last 20 years and it’s led to some weird reversals both pro and con.

My hometown now has drive-bys, murders, you name it, not that we didn’t have them before but, a lot of city folk have relocated.. Sad to see a ‘wholesome’ USA City go to heck.
Generally the places that have these problems are located only in a couple specific places in the state. I think “twin” can be referenced in dicussing the biggest area.
Progressives (socialists racing down the road to communism) always drag society down to the lowest level possible.
The only way I would BE in that stadium is if they were hosting a gun show.
It’s less than a 2 hour drive from there to the Twin Cities,, I drove it a lot.. half way to Fargo. ;-]
