EL CAJON (CNS) - An investigation was under way Tuesday in El Cajon, where a 75-year-old man shot and wounded a teenage boy who had broken into the man's home, police said.
The shooting in the 700 block of Terra Lane was reported around 11 a.m. Monday, according to El Cajon police.
The man heard a noise coming from a back bedroom and armed himself with a handgun as he relayed information to a police dispatcher, Lt. Mark Coit said in a statement.

Given tthat this happened in California, I hope the man does not have to spend the rest of his life in prison and lose all of his possessions in the accompanying civil lawsuit.
</BARF></BARF></BARF>
It took multiple </BARF>s.
“teen” goes unnamed, must not be a cracka-teen.
todays legal concept for ccw’s - DISPARITY OF FORCE
allows you to use greater force to defend yourself even if you think/know the other person is armed “less” than you.
Conditions:
- you are ambushed/surprised
- you are elderly
- you are disabled
- you are injured
- you are set on by a group/multiple assailants (even if the rest are just ‘watching’ - they’re waiting to help the one attacking you
- you are a smaller person /attacker has size advantage
- you are female and attacker is male
- they are armed (or you believe them to be) with weapons that could kill if they attack you hard enough, but aren’t considered “lethal” in themselves - tire iron, club, bat, sack of oranges, etc - ie not a gun.
under these one or more conditions you can use greater force instead of just equal force, and you’d be justified for doing so under the well-known, well-tested, concept of disparity of force. As in all cases, if they give up/surrender you can’t then murder them and claim disparity of force as a reason. Until that point however, you can use disparity of force to whittle down your attackers’ numbers if they are multiple, or defend yourself from the sucker-punching surprise attacker, etc.
teen goes unnamed, must not be a cracka-teen.

teen = yute
Don’t f with an old man — he can’t run, he can’t fight, so he will have to try to kill you. However, I don’t envy where he is, since this is California.
What is the over/under on a hoodie being involved?
“teen goes unnamed, must not be a cracka-teen.”
Being in El Cajon, not a cracka-teen, but not an ‘amish’ one either.
It worked for George Zimmerman.
So what, exactly, are you implying?

HAPPY ENDING!
I am 65 years of age. I lifted weights when I was young and am still relatively strong. I have a shooting range in my backyard and do shoot very often as I love the sport. I am very proficient with weapons.
I no longer shoot animals such as deer but make an exception for vermin but have absolutely no problem with hunters that do kill deer and other animals that can be eaten. My friend comes over and harvests deer and we enjoy the venison.
Under the circumstances that this man encountered I would not have contested the bad guy with anything except deadly force. If it was me the bad guy would have been dead. When the use of deadly force is necessary never stop until the threat is totally no longer a threat.
However in relationship to the citizen defending his home, “good shoot citizen.”
Just one minor question on translation. Is the first pictogram to be interpreted as "hiss" or "black hiss"?
Just a hiss.
Understood.
But you gotta admit that using the other descriptive would balance the media play concerning one George from Florida... ;-)
