So it wasnt a hoax after all?
Organizers of the Truckers Ride for the Constitution rally say they are indeed coming to Washington on Friday but whether they will shut down the Beltway or just make a lot of noise remains to be seen.
Zeeda Andrews, one of the organizers of the event, said the ride is a go, but emphasized that it will be peaceful. She said that Georgia trucker Earl Conlon overstepped his boundaries earlier this week in saying the event was just a ploy to get attention for the groups agenda.
Yes, it is happening, she said about the rally. Andrews said she expects a few thousand truckers to descend on the District on Friday.

A few score would do the job. A few thousand will be most effective :)
If they show up do they are merely doing their duty!

Yeah...and when they started making excuses for what Conlon said is when I lost interest in what they were doing.
I’ll bet they secure the memorial for the World War II vets... we’ll have to wait and see but that’s my guess.
Do liberal protesters ever say this, or are they even asked?
My grand daughter is laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Friday afternoon. I hope they arrive after she is finished.
People/groups have been posting pictures on Facebook. In one, people were pulling to side of road to let trucks pass.
Do what job?
We can bet that Hussein’s Gestapo will be collecting information, especially license numbers.
Let the liscense numbers be collected !
Even if it is a few independent truck operators , it will be successful

I’ll be honest, I am a business owner in the DC area. If they show up and clog my appointments tomorrow, I am going to be incredibly unhappy tomorrow and send a bill to the “leader” of this group for my time being wasted
Make sure she has “appropriate shoes”.

There are live cameras in DC and http://www.i95highway.com/i-95-traffic/washington-dc.html shows green. so, if we don’t hear anything we can always check.

Exactly. I’m proud that the truckers are willing to take that risk; it’s good they aren’t afraid of possible consequences. I remember what the Founding Fathers sacrificed in order to do the right thing. Then I realize we’re afraid to put a bumper sticker on our cars because it might be keyed. Between the WWII vets, the bikers, and the truckers, the rest of us might be encouraged to step out of our comfort zones.
Yes, we got the brown leather loafers. She is thrilled and didn’t mind the “funny looking” shoes.
It'll be kind of tough paying the bill after he gets his truck impounded.
Did any truckers show up?
A more effective tool would be a truckers strike. Deliver no goods for one week just to start. This technique is a guaranteed show stopper.
