Just as Republican leaders were exiting their meeting with President Obama at the White House Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was entering CNN's Crossfire, where he had to contend with Van Jones and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), without too much help from Newt Gingrich. Now that House Republicans are prepared to move forward with a short-term debt deal that doesn't touch the Affordable Care Act, Jones asked Cruz, "Do you feel like you owe your party an apology?"
Jones noted that the Republican Party has become incredibly unpopular under Cruz's "leadership," saying that since the Texas senator entered office in January he's become "the most prominent Republican in this town." After stressing that "we're all friends here," Jones asked Cruz:
"Do you feel like you owe your party an apology? Listen, you have people who believed in you, they believed that you were somehow going to be able to defund Obamacare, they believed the strategy of shutdown might have a chance. They followed you into a ditch. And now, there's obviously there's no chance Obamacare will be defunded and we're on the brink of a horrific default. Do you think that in the reflection of your own heart, you might say, 'You know what? I'm a new kid here, I think I owe you an apology'?" Cruz laughed at first before getting more serious and asking some questions of his own. "I know you desperately want to change the topic from Obamacare," he said. "Democrats in this town do not want to discuss Obamacare. Why? Because it isn't working." He then turned to focus on negative polling numbers for President Obama and Democrats, crediting House Republicans who are "listening to the millions of Americans who are losing their jobs, who are being pushed into part-time work, who are facing skyrocketing health care."
When Sen. Whitehouse got a chance to chime in, he called the "notion that Obamacare is a failure" a "product of right-wing histrionics." He told stories about how well he believes the exchanges are going so far in his home state.
"The Republican Party decided that Obamacare was going to be a failure early on, before Obamacare was even decided," Whitehouse said. "It was a political choice to pull all support for anything this president wanted to do. Now they have to live with it, so they have to maintain the story line. But I have to tell you Senator Cruz, I don't see it at home, I don't believe it."
Van Jones Attacks Ted Cruz on Crossfire: Are You Sorry for Leading Your Party ‘Into a Ditch’? - CNN
Is Van Jones sorry for being a whitey-hating racist who looks forward to the day when all white people are dead?
Van Jones is attempting to use liberal psychology on Ted Cruz....
And it failed.
That must mean the party is going the right direction. Van Jones is a communist. They use a playbook and are, therefore, predictable.
Interesting that they felt they needed to tag-team two left-wing Democrat intellectual heavyweights to oppose one Ted Cruz.
That`s like a kitten trying to attack a lion.
Poor van the marxist, above his pay grade.
How much they act like Russians under Stalin.
Van Jones is a less exotic version of Obama. He’s an affable silver-tongued lying racist Marxist without the Hawaii/Kenyan/Indonesian/Muslim links.
“’You know what? I’m a new kid here, I think I owe you an apology’?” Cruz laughed”
“No, I’m only sorry that most of my party never recovered from their scrotalectomies.”
Van Jones—isn’t he a convicted felon who has done prison time?
In addition to a Marxist committed to the overthrow of the United States?
And Newt didn’t offer any token of support?
"See? All hope is lost. Really. The latest media push poll proves it. Better give up now before it gets any worse."
My question would be, what was Cruz doing on Crossfire in the first place?
Oh, I missed the fact that Newt was there. Looks like Sen. Cruz did too.
The only reason he was forced out of his position in the Hussein Administration is that he was honest enough to admit it.
Cruz ate his lunch though, communism is indefensible.
Newt was too busy thinking about working with Pelosi to stop man-made global warming.
Ted Cruz is a big boy. He will have to put up with much worse from the GOPe and the media if he runs for President.
Cruz should have asked, are you sorry for being a race-baiting, America hating commie?
I’d have sawed into Jones on his commie past.
As for Sheldon
“He told stories about how well he believes the exchanges are going so far in his home state.”
Wow, all 5 permanent residents of Rhode Island. In fairness, Rhode Island should just be an ‘overseas’ territory. Especially with the scumbags they send to Washington.
Hey Van, are you devastated at the news that your homo Obama only has a 37 percent approval rating..that is what this is all about..Commies are failing BADLY and they are scared to death
He is perfectly comfortable with that.
From this socalled ditch we have a good opportunity to get RID of Obamacare before it does even further damage to America (and especially to our economy and JOBS).
Thanks, Sen. Cruz... keep up the good work...
Van should be digging ditches on a chain gang.
He is the true face of the Devil.
Evil With a Smile
they ARE NEOSTALINSTS!
Ted should have asked Jones,” Are you sorry your President
is leading this nation into the ditch?”
Testify my Brother!
Why is Cruz stupid enough to go on Crossfire?
Don’t worry, someone equally as evil took his place.
WHO watches that idiot Communist infiltrated show?
All the left does is lie, lie, lie.
Obama IS the ditch ... and is a son of a ditch.
GRASSFIRE is reporting that $634,000,000 was spent developing the healthcare.gov website. Is anyone else reporting on this? If true - heads need to start rolling! Who had the inside track? Who approved the expenditure? We need names now!
This Jones guy is exactly the type that doesn’t even believe his own bullshit. He found a way to do as little as possible in life and profit from it, the same as that idiot ed shultz on pmsnbc or those dipshits that call themselves reverends (resist we much tawana and love childs). They tout lines and playbooks but deviate even in the slightest and their type unwinds in amazing fashions. They have no core principles and are only acting on life’s stage as they attempt to bullshit their way through it. Put them in a position where the rubber needs to hit the road and they are abject failures. Look at their type in general, parasites, just like their community organizing messiah.
An avowed Pinko Communist!
Funny how the polls showed Americans opposed to Obamacare. Libs didn’t care about governing by polls with respect to Obamacare. Conservatives will never be “liked” by the MSM, or represented fairly.

It was reported as costing that amount. It was reported on Free Republic, but don’t have the link for it.
Loaded questions are logically fallacious by nature. Automatic fail by Red Jones.

Read somewhere on FR that it was a Canadian company. Obama’s election tour bus was made by a Canadian company as well. Now I’m wondering about connections...
It was These Guys. It's the sort of thing that makes hiring committees in the IT biz look out for this particular resume entry. Wow.
Canadian officials fired IT firm behind troubled Obamacare website
...and for his next trick Senator Whitehouse is going to try and convince us that his $h!+ doesn’t stink...
Who was the blabbermouth opposed Senator Cruz? Not Van Jones but the typical old white guy.
A bit like attacking an Abrams tank with a zip gun.
Van Jones lives in a ditch.
