Obama shops around as GOP offers multiple debt-hike plans (Sens pump him for info on House offer]

President Obama seemed to go comparison-shopping on Friday as he met with Senate Republicans to discuss their proposals for ending the government shutdown and raising the debt ceiling.

Obama did most of the talking but also took questions from GOP senators who rode buses down Pennsylvania Avenue to meet on the president’s turf.

The Republican senators used their time to try to eke out details of the bargaining that had happened the previous evening between Obama and House negotiators. GOP senators are pushing their own plans to open the government and raise the debt ceiling.

“We tried to find out what was said at the meeting with the House,” said Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), who did not characterize the meeting as a negotiation..........

It’s a Rino hunt. Maybe somebody will wake up when what is left of the economy shutters next year.

Susan Collins seems to be behaving more disruptively than usual this time.

Susan Collins is acting like some one who wants to:
A. Knock off Mitch McConnell
B, Take over his job as Minority Leader
C. Squelch the conservative Senators.

As “The first female Minority Leader”- with big RINO campaign pockets, maybe even Pelosi back as Speaker,
The ugly weasel would be sitting mighty pretty.

So King Barack shows up at the meeting 20 minutes late, starts lecturing everyone, and then gets testy when anyone brings up Obamacare.

The Republicans should have just passed all of the individual spending bills, then called it a day. Make Reid and Obama put an offer on the table. The Republicans have made way too many offers much too quickly, it has undercut them, and made them look desparate.

The debt limit was the trump card. They should have pressed Obama right up to it, and make Obama blink.

I think they’ve incorrectly identified what the “non-essential” government jobs are. It’s time to reopen the parks and shut Congress down.
