DC Chapter to be at Million Vet March, Sunday, Oct. 13,2013
Posted on 10/11/2013 5:17:43 PM PDT by trooprally
To all FReepers far and wide
I have been hearing here and there about DC Chapter members who will be in DC this Sunday for the Million Vets March.
Lets gather under my tall U.S.-Gadston flag. I am hoping to get there around 8AM
I will be making some signs. If anyone has a sign idea just let me know. If you want a specific saying for yourself, let me know so I can save it for you.
Most public bathrooms are closed due to the shut down. Hopefully the backers of the Million Vet March have order a couple of jiffy johns.
Oh-rah, the DC Chapter is gathering once again!

You are welcome from the DC Chapter but as you know, we all do what we can. Some can get out and rally in the liberal and RINO rich environment of DC and others contribute to FR. We are all in this fight together.

When I rode up last month with the 2 million bikers to DC, I found the Daughters of the American Revolution employees were very supportive. Maybe someone could recon a restroom there.

I’d love to be there, too, TR, but we were just in DC a couple or so weeks back. Since we don’t “do” airplanes—it’s just too far to repeat the road trip right now.
I’ll sure be with you in spirit, though, and will be eagerly awaiting the after report.

It was just one year ago this weekend that we took dad to DC on an Honor Flight. I’ve contacted our Representative and asked him to stand in stead for him. Have not heard back from him yet. If you visit near say an extra prayer for him near the South Pacific or Indiana area.

And what a good spirit you have. Your continued support of the DC Chapter and FR are most honorable. It was good to FReep with you on Beck’s 9/12 rally.

DAR is located in Constitution Hall just a block or two north of the WWII memorial. Easy walking distance.

Greetings, Brother T! I intend to be there rain or shine. I'm wondering if Metro would be an option. Is there a station close to WWII Memorial? I can't walk too far - using a walker.

EAGLES UP! Sunday 13 October 2013 at 0900 WWII Memorial on the National Mall!

Last Saturday I took the Metro from Pentagon City.
The closest Metro station to the WWII Memorial appears to be the Smithsonian Station. From the Smithsonian to the WWII Memorial is about one mile.
Maybe a cab from there is an option?

Isnt the Mall closed? That's the point of the exercise. The Vets are going to open the mall up right before the house caves to Zero's demands.

Hope it comes down some more. Most of us have a heck of a drive to get into DC. Maybe the truckers will use up all the surplus gas and prices will rise again.

Closest station (blue & orange lines) is the Smithsonian but that is still on the opposite side of the Washington Monument.
Maybe get off at an outlier station and take a cab to the WWII Memorial. Once at the Memorial, check around about getting a ride back to a Metro station. I can always get my car and pick you up.
Check out Post 28. I am the one holding the tall flag. Hope to see you there.
