I just got home from an Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment rally in Latham, NY. This one was to support the truckers effort.
WHAT A BLAST! Thousands of cars passed us and the majority of them honked, gave 'thumbs up' and/or waved encouragingly. A few people hollered 'THANKS!"
We got a very few negative shouts and maybe 7 'thumbs down'.
There were 6 of us, and 2 more people parked their car and joined us. How cool is that???
I swear to you as well, a few black guys walked past us at different times and they all said they agreed with us and Barry sucks.
The coolest thing? 3 trucks blocked the lanes of 87 north underneath our overpass for several minutes while they approached, horns blaring.
I am very heartened, I am not alone, There are far more of 'us' out there than 'them'.
If you can, find or start a rally in your area. Make a few signs, bring a few flags. 3 or 4 hours. If only to encourage others where you live to start fighting, or to not give up.
Very cool. Sad but here in Ottawa County MI we do not have many overpasses at all. Very Very few of them and two I can think of are over waterways.....now how do you get a sailboat to honk?

Most boats have horns for safety purposes.

You don’t necessarily need an Overpass; a sidewalk or roadside with traffic going past will do! Most of our efforts were directed at the traffic in front of us, not under us.
Give it a thought - 1 person with a sign and a flag can make a HUGH difference! ;)

I really felt like that today. But a nice, middle-aged, Italian Mother Warrior. :) I haven’t felt this positive in several years. I cannot recommend this particular activity highly enough. Somehow a bit better than even a Tea Party Rally, I guess because we were connecting with people who didn’t choose to be there, but we still got an incredibly affirmative response, ya know?

But the greater good was done for me. Living in blue NY near Albany I always feel as if I am alone in my ideology but today proved me wrong. More of us are not standing for this BS anymore.
