Reset: New round of talks begin after negotiations collapse

As the government shutdown entered its 12th day, the best lawmakers on Capitol Hill could say on Saturday is that they’ve started talking — again.....

....Mr. Reid has rejected every request Republicans have made, including most recently a proposal circulated by Sen. Susan Collins, Maine Republican, that would have repealed a despised Obamacare tax and given the White House more flexibility to manage the sequesters, in return for opening up the government and passing a debt increase........

House Republicans and the White House had both said they were making progress over the previous two days, saying that they had cleared the air and that the GOP was working to see if it could find an offer Mr. Obama could accept.

But by Saturday morning Republicans were accusing the White House of negotiating in bad faith, and Mr. Reid declared the White House talks dead.

“That’s over with. It’s done. They’re not talking anymore,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said as he opened his chamber.

If Boehnor was smart which he isn’t he would just go back to his office and continure to do his normal daily work and not attempt anymore negotiating. Let the Dems figure out what they want to do and come to him.

We give them everything and that wasn’t enough?

The words I want to share would get me banned.

Well, the House should just pack up and go home. The government is out of moolah. Time to go. No more negotiating says the dictator. Hang it on him, make him try to govern with nothing.

In case you have any doubt, this is the level of intelligence and understanding of our laws that Reid has - and yet, he ALONE can decide which bill will and will not be brought to a vote - That makes him, does it not, reall the most powerful man in DC?

In this clip, even the interviewer is dumbfounded.

If I was a liberal in 2013, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too.

And with today’s breakdown/not-so-thinly-veiled-threat of the EBT system, O-craphead has shown what he will do if the Repubs don’t capitulate immediately.

Now is the time for the republicans to WALK AWAY! Announce that they have attempted to negotiate in good faith and that the next move belongs to Reid/Teleprompter. They have rejected everything, their turn to bring something to the table.

Agreed! Keep sending the spending bills, double down by including a debt limit increase in each bill to cover the amount of the spending in the bill. Then go state that the choice to default belongs to Obama/Reid.

And don’t let up on Obama care, there are all kinds of horrible provisions in there. Keep moving around and trying to get some of them cut/changed. Even when the Democrats say no, it still is bad publicity.
