On my way from WWII Memorial to Vietnam Veterans' Memorial

EAGLES UP! Sunday 13 October 2013 at 0900 – WWII Memorial on the National Mall!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Some friends and I went over to Red River Gorge National Recreation Area this morning. The main road through the gorge was still open, but all of the side roads were gated and padlocked.

We thought about just parking and walking back to the Skybridge, but it was about three miles each way and one member of our group has some medical conditions that prevent her from making that long of a hike.

The vets’ next move should be to blockade en masse the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day to bar entry to the guy Occupying the Oval Office while he puts on a show laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

The honor of a military veteran is a sacred thing.

Sadly, there are many here who wish to crawl into that honor, while cheering the Sequester, which undermines the very military they say they honor.

They use our veteran's honor about storming a barricade, yet they cheer on the de-funding of the military and say nothing about our exploding entitlement spending.

http://freebeacon.com/report-sequestration-military-budget-cuts-hurting-national-security/

And if you don't like that report, use Google. There are 10,000 others. The fact is, the US military is about 17% of the budget, yet is forced to "pay for" 50% of the Sequester cuts.

Yet, the Entitlement crowd cheers, because they have not been cut one dime from Sequestration.

There is not one segment of the US population that has given more since September 11th, 2001, than the US military. Yet, the military has endured 3 massive budget cuts under Obama that were supposed to be over 10 years: $330 Billion in 2009, $487 Billion in 2011, and over $650 Billion in 2013 (Sequestration). Those cuts have now overlapped one another, and the military that so-called Americans still cheer is reeling.

There are no Republican or Conservative voices expressing outrage over this mess. All we hear is cut, cut, cut - but Obama will never cut Food Stamps, TANF, or Medicaid.

And where are our "friends?"

No where to be found.

After giving so much to this nation, the Republicans are the ones who want to "bake in" the Sequester.

Gee, thanks. Thanks a lot.
