My grandmother is on the left. She was in the WAVES while granddad was in Europe. Because of her I was eating pomegranate before most non Jewish Americans had ever heard of them. One of the women she served with was Jewish and introduced her to the fruit.

My Grandparents in Europe in 97.

That is so Awesome Cripple! I need to track done my Family War Pictures.

Lols Pomegranate! One of my sisters good friends loved the move the Ten Commandments (1956) and there is a scene when they talk about Pomegranates, she didn't know it was a real fruit until MY grandmother brought some for my Dad's Birthday.

Beautiful Picture, Glad to see your grandfather got to go back to Europe and your Grandmother gets to visit the WW2 Memorial they did a damn fine service to this country.(I take it the Picture is at Normandy, was your Granddad there too?)

Although my Grandfather wouldn't like Chinese being in D.C. because he killed alot of Chinese, or so Mother says, he died when I was 6.

That is awesome! Glad they got to go, my relatives that fought in WWII never went back. My hubby and brothers that were in Vietnam have no desire to go there though many do go and feel it is healing.
