Unfortunately, that's correct. It's a no-win situation.
I watch Boehner and it reminds me of a few things...in The Godfather, Michael tells Tom he'll be sitting this battle out..."I need a wartime Consigliere."(sp)
This is war, and Boehner is no wartime Consigliere.
Then I'm reminded of a dancing bear...they say you shouldn't be critical of the way the bear dances, you should be amazed he can dance at all.
Boehner is not suited for the task. Going to war with this general is suicide. I'm sure he's a nice man, but he's totally unsuited for the task at hand.
Filling a spot critical to the protection of my liberty when unable or unwilling to do so is NOT the act of a nice man. It’s like when you’re on the airplane — if you’re unwilling or unable to work the emergency exit, DON’T sit in that row and make those who are, climb over you to get free.
OTOH, lots of people now know who Ted Cruz is and like him.
