After Action Report
13 October 2013



As I walked down 17th Street to the WWII Memorial I was passed by at least a dozen D.C Police cruisers and Paddy wagons. Two Secret Service cruisers were blocking vehicular access to 17th below Constitution Avenue.

I was late arriving and missed Sarah Palin, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz.

Arriving at the Memorial, I made my way to the high U.S. Flag and Gadsden Flag
held by FReeper Mr. Trooprally.

A lady at the WWII Memorial was giving out these cards to any Vets she encountered:

I am the wife of ConorMacNessa who over the past several years has overcome many obstacles. I was at mass today while he down on the mall finally realizing what it means to have married my bestfriend.

When Pope Benedict came to town he was part of the choir at the Papal Mass. During the rehearsals and the actual event he was undergoing treatment for cancer. When he came home that night from the Mass he was pumped. Neither of us got much sleep that night as we stayed up watching the news coverage.

His going today was a feat as he uses a walker to get around. While it was my idea to attend the protest I stayed behind to get our son to work.

I took this long shot of the Lincoln Memorial as people were dispersing from the WWII Memorial. You can't see it very well in this shot, but the stairs to the Lincoln Memorial were packed.

At about noon I was sitting on a park bench on Constitution Ave. when a quartet of Mounted Park Rangers rose by. They gave us thumbs-up and thanks - we did the same.

Whoever was in charge of that squad is not smart at all. They put themselves between the crowd in front of them and a steel fence to their rear. Lucky for them it was a friendly crowd and they stayed there for 4 to 5 minutes. :-)

Wonderful. Palin also reached out to the Park Police. Maybe the best response is, “Thank you for your service, but it is not needed.” We do not want to alienate the Patriots who for feeding their families are on the payroll of the Leviathan. Take the high ground as Palin did.
