Well-meaning social liberals who think putting up some silly yellow signs proclaiming “Safe Passage” zones does nothing to deter predatory criminals, just as a slew of gun laws that only disarm the good guys do nothing to slow violent crime.

Maybe if they would give the kids an education so they could read would help them be able to read the signs and obey accordingly.

A couple of weeks ago, Drudge had a “Safe Passage” story. One of the [female] employees mugged somebody. Never heard of “Safe Passage” before that, so I had to look it up.
It’s akin to those “Do not walk on the grass” signs that telegraph “stomp the h*ll out of the grass”. I think the sign people crave violence and perpetual victimhood, same as for places marked as gun-free zones.
Fantasy solution. That’s a good description of this liberal lunacy.
Obviously they haven’t passed a law making it against the law to break the law.

“(CBS) – A Safe Passage worker for Chicago Public Schools allegedly struck a woman and stole her Link benefits card, authorities say.
Lashia Brown, 22, has been charged with misdemeanor battery and felony ID theft. Police confirmed Brown has a prior criminal record that includes possessing a weapon without a Firearm Owners Identification Card, an offense for which she pleaded guilty.
Brown allegedly struck the victim in the face and used her Link card to withdraw money. She was arrested Tuesday in the 3200 block of West Madison and ordered held on $10,000 bond.
A Link card provides cash and food-buying assistance for families that meet income guidelines.
A spokeswoman for the school system says officials are looking into the allegation.
“With the safety of our children a top priority, CPS takes these allegations very seriously and is working with the safe passage vendor on looking into these claims and will take appropriate action,” the CPS representative said.”

I worked for many years in an urban school district. The district's response to a violent bullying incident was always the same: put a few anti-bullying posters up in the hallways.
That was the policy. No crackdowns. No removing of violent offenders. Just put up posters in the hallways.
But it's not stupidity alone that drives these people. It's a combination of stupidity and cowardice.
I looked at the cop in the picture. Weaing a black t-shirt and dungarees, his arm filled with Tattoos.
The only thing separating him from one of the shooters was a vest with Police written on it.
I guess you need a program to tell the shooters rom the cops.
Maybe if we put up signs that said, “Unicorn Crossing’...

I'm a member of a church, where I am responsible for security. We have been going through training regarding many things, but specifically an armed intruder.
The "clergy" then stated that the campus is a gun free zone. Ok, what about the armed intruder?
I stood up and stated that Sandy Hook, Theater in Aurora, CO, the mall in Kenya, VA Tech, etc. were all gun free zones.
The trainer/presenter (who is an ex LEO), said, "if you are armed, stop the assault, I didn't see anything."
Not reassuring, but as you know guy, it is better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6.
