With voting just days away in NJ Senate race, Tea Party arrives to lend support (for Lonegan)

**SNIP**

On Saturday, Palin told a rally at the New Egypt Speedway that Lonegan, a former mayor, would fight against ObamaCare and stand with Tea Party senators including Ted Cruz of Texas.

"You have the momentum with Steve's campaign," she said. "The rest of the country knows."

The 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate and former Alaska governor told the crowd to vote to defy the "fallacy" that a conservative Tea Party candidate cannot win in a Democratic-leaning New Jersey.

Lonegan, who spent the weekend campaigning across the state, wants to repeal ObamaCare and "join those conservatives who stand up for constitutional rights."

If Lonegan gets within 5 points of winning I’ll be surprised. There’s no way he wins in NJ.

spending difference is amazing!
But NJ does more than ‘lean’ democrat. I believe the last elected republican senator was Clifford Case. Like 50 years ago.
LONEGAN is the real deal.
HE DESERVES FR support !!

This is the political genius of Palin. Start running a rock-ribbed conservative in blue states. There's nothing to lose and the liberal candidate and DNC is spending more money on races that are thought to be winnable.

I’ve got a funny feeling on this one. If he’s within five points, it will be a dead voter / fraud issue. After the beating unions are taking on Obamacare, this could be up for grabs. Unions would best be served by putting the brakes on Barry.

It's a Wednesday special election a couple of weeks before a general election. This hasn't happened in New Jersey before.

Sarah Palin's appearance is probably worth a lot to conservative/TEA Party voters. It would be the upset of the (21st) Century, but since the 'rats need to drag their voters to the polls and conservatives, libertarians and Republicans manage get there themselves, on a Wednesday in October, anything is possible. I wouldn't bet the farm on Lonegan, but who knows.

Actions speak louder than words. His Imenseness has been notably absent.

Booker is his buddy.

Christie’s political philosophy is all about personal power - his.

I revise my estimate in my earlier post after having read the most recent polls. I’ll be surprised if Lonegan is within 15 points of Booker.

Hunterdon is Republican. Mercer has a Republican congressman, Chris Smith.

I’m very excited to vote for Lonegan.

Out here in the suburbs, I have seen about a dozen Lonegan signs in my neighborhood, but not a single Booker sign.

This election will be all about turnout. It is a special, with only one race on the ballot, on a Wednesday. Hopefully the Booker voters will figure this one is in the bag and the Lonegan supporters crawl over broken glass to vote against Barack Obama’s Mini-Me.

I know a lot of people who say they support Booker, but aren’t particularly enthusiastic. I also know a lot of people who support Lonegan, who will vote this Wednesday, Hell or high water.

Lonegan is raising money door to door while Booker is in Martha’s Vineyard and Hollywood.

My NJ congressman (Scott Garrett) is as conservative as almost anybody in the house.

We'll be voting for Lonegan here at least in my slice of Bergen County.
