Sen. Graham to Republicans: 'Face Reality That ObamaCare Cannot Be Stopped'
FOX News ^ | Oct 13, 2013 | FOX News Insider

Posted on 10/13/2013 4:32:59 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has called President Obama a “pathetic leader” for his lack of involvement in negotiations to end the government shutdown. He slammed the president’s unwillingness to compromise with Republicans as “immature.”

Today on America’s News HQ, Graham told anchor Doug McKelway, “For [Republicans] to suggest to the American people that we could defund ObamaCare or delay it for a year by shutting down the government, I think was unrealistic.”

With the debt limit just four days away, Sen. Graham said, “I’m not going to vote for any deal coming out of the Senate that doesn’t have a reasonable chance of getting a majority of House Republicans understanding that defunding and delaying ObamaCare is a bridge too far.”

Send LG packing!!!!

---------------------------------------->

I'm not in SC but the money I would have donated to National RNC can still go to LG's candidacy or is it too late for that now and I should get another candidate to "vote" ($) against.

Have the voters of SC considered petitioning Sen. Graham, demanding that he resign immediately? Or would a Democrat or even worse Constitution-ignoring RINO than Graham possibly take his place at this time?

Susan Collins is up in 2014.

The Republican party is Maine is dis-jointed, so I don’t see a primary challenge against her.

I will vote third party or write in someone else’s name....I’m done voting for RINO’s. Just wou’t do it anymore.

Sen. Graham is pathetic. If the Republican controlled House does not fund obamaCare, it doesn't get funded. It's as simple as that. And there's not a thing the pathetic Obama or Reid or the pathetic Graham, McCain, McConnell, et al can do about it.

This is per James Madison's Federalist 58 - the constitution gives the power of the purse to the people's representatives in the House for the specific purpose of reining in a runaway chief executive and senate. It' our constitutional check and balance on unconstitutional expansionist government.

Dear House Reps: Ignore the pathetic RINO surrender monkeys. We the people have your backs! Do your constitutional duty! Defund ObamaCare!! And hold the line on the debt!! Obama would spend us into oblivion if given the chance.

And simply NOT voting to fund is even simpler.

Exactly! They can't even do -NOTHING- right. Just sit down and shut up already and you win. It's not that difficult.

Very well said. The Bozos in our government don’t know about and/or don’t care about The Constitution that they took a Solemn oath to defend.

Time for those Traitors to go!

yes!..........that Graham either doesn’t get the power of the purse being vested in the House or he does and has been bought off and wants Obamacare to satisfy his owners(big insurance to name just one) is just as sickening either way! I personally despise McCain and Graham. Why they don’t do themselves a big favor and just sit down and shut up is beyond me.

Gee, I would think he was McCain’s obedient Wife.

Romney isn’t in the Senate, in fact he not serving in any Elected Office, so he doesn’t have a Dog in the Hunt.

I just don’t see the connection you are attempting to make.

I’m sure it’s just me though, carry on.

Agree absolutely. Anytime you put politicians in charge of an engineering project, political considerations will take precedence over good engineering principles. And eventually the chickens come home to roost - the space shuttle crashes, or the bridge collapses, or the ObamaCare project (project Titanic) sinks.

Too bad we didn’t face up to the fact that we couldn’t beat the Japanese, that we couldn’t beat the Germans, and that we couldn’t beat the commies in the cold war. /s

The ACA puts too many levers of power in the hands of government for it to break down under its own weight. As it stands, they can just jettison the parts they don’t like to save the core of it. They know that the McCains and others are already on board with it. That if the Republicans were to elect a moderate Republican like McCain or Romney, he would accept it much as Ike accepted the New Deal in 1953.Right now their aim is to help their Republican allies regain full control of the congressional party.
