The United States is just days away from causing a global economic disaster unless politicians devise a plan to raise the nations debt limit and avoid defaulting, the president of the World Bank has warned.
We're now five days away from a very dangerous moment, Jim Yong Kim said in a briefing on Saturday, then the 11th day of the crisis, following a meeting of the banks Development Committee in the US capital Washington DC.

Maybe the rest of the world should learn to take care of its own problems.

Bullsh*t. The debt limit situation has nothing to do with the US's ability to pay interest owed on its debts.
Seems like the world is on the democrats' side. Wonder why... /s

So not only does the US have 50% of its people dependent on the government, we’ve got the whole world dependent on it as well.
We are so screwed

This is absolute nonsense. I don’t get why Boehnor and McConnell who are supposed to be the GOP leadership don’t come on TV and explain that on any given day there are more than enough revenues to pay the service on the debt. Instead they just sit back and let Ostumbles blather on about defaulting.

The rest of the world needs to wise up, and not expect the USA will get them out of every sort of crisis.

Stop the lies! The United States can pay all of its debt obligations from regular tax income even if the debt ceiling is not raised.

We must reduce our involvement with world economics - some is good, but this mutual dependency is ridiculous.
I believe you need to take these so called “experts” with a grain of salt. They do exaggerate all the time.

Stop the lies! The United States can pay all of its debt obligations from regular tax income even if the debt ceiling is not raised.Yes, but will Obama order the Treasury to prioritize payments and halt payments on debt?
