The political agenda put forth by a local organizer in Washington DC yesterday was not in alignment with our message. We feel disheartened that some would seek to hijack the narrative for political gain. The core principle was and remains about all Americans honoring Veterans in a peaceful and apolitical manner. Our love for and our dedication to remains with Veterans, regardless of party affiliation or political leanings.

You are right. I taught a course called “Political Terrorism” for 3-1/2 years. The aim of terrorism as we understood it to be at that date, late 1980’s (it was a survey of terror groups, methods, goals, operations etc), was to force governments (already in many, if not most cases, corrupt and despotic to begin with) to overreact, overreach, to further provoke the population to revolt against the terrorist’s targeted government and its institutions.
Hussein is calling us all out right now—one provocation after another to rachet peaceful civil disobedience up into race wars, riots, and deadly civilian v. LEO confrontations at all levels and widely occurring in outbreak after outbreak of incidents.
Then, to quell the “chaos” (that Hussein created knowingly) Hussein will invoke E.O.s already signed and sitting in the file drawer ready for implementation.
This is, I believe, the goal. Tyranny without limit, without end.

I don’t recall seeing him or any confederate flag yesterday. I spent most of my time at the WWII Memorial and a brief tour of the Lincoln and Viet Nam memorials.
I can envision no peaceful outcome *except* complete capitulation by the people.
What makes you think THAT would be peaceful?

I think it's easier than that. If the feet come off, just remove the feet and 'deep six em' in the tidal basin, about 100 yards away.

Why do they always speak Propaganda English? Any modestly experienced listener hears slogans like "radical agenda" and "vulnerable segments" and immediately tunes out the speaker as a liar, even if the point they are making is valid.

Naw, that would be capitalism. A true liberal would take them to that pretty Memorial Bridge and throw them over or maybe use them to close I-66 and I-495, or just anything wasteful and/or destructive.

Your PC prejudice makes you sure this is an a@@hole. To some of in the south this is not a symbol of hate but of pride in the South. He may turn out to be a proud Southern standing up for State’s rights.
