What is his goal now? Is his focus now towards entitlement cuts since Obamacare has apparently been all but taken off the table now?
To: freedom462
It’s his job to put it back on the table.

it’ll never be off the table as long as there’s a tea party.

Welcome to Free Republic. Are you here to undermine Senator Cruz? Because he's going to be in the Senate, getting up liberal noses for the next 5 years, at least.

I've been watching it for a few days. It tends to set off my troll alarm.

Not at all, I am just hoping he has a very clear plan of attack and knows what his goals are and understands exactly what the economy needs. He is gonna have to be literally hundreds of times more informed and knowledgeable than anyone in the WH and Senate, so I hope he is.
To: JRandomFreeper
To say nothing of the fact that it is certainly looking like less and less of House GOP is brave and tough enough to stick it out with Cruz, so he has to deal with that too. Wish it were not the case, but it is.
To: freedom462
He's doing exactly what I elected him to do. He's disrupting business as usual in DC. I'm very happy with him.

Your concern is noted. Concern troll.
He has succeeded in disrupting business as usual, and exposed the liberals in the GOP. He's doing quite well. He'll be there for 5 more years.

Thank you for sending him to save the nation.
To: freedom462
I am just hoping he has a very clear plan of attack and knows what his goals are and understands exactly what the economy needs.
Let's let the citizens of these United States decide for themselves what "the economy needs", besides fewer people throwing weight and money around trying to give the economy what they think it "needs".
The economy is not an end in itself. Free men enjoying life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is the end an economy is supposed to serve. This might be a ten year battle, or a 110 year battle. It has to start somewhere. If it starts with a freosh Senator from Texas, so be it. I am not going to wait for supermajorties in both chambers, the presidency, and five reliable SCOTUS justices to get behind a good man doing the right thing.
I am also not going to worry so much about how the drive-by-media portrays something that I have to change my tune and sing in their key. We must work around through, over and under the media. Discredit them at every turn until they are regarded as the dishonest used car salesmen they are. (Hoenst used car salesmen need not be offended, just as honest journalists need not be offended.)
If you have a preferred lead Republican NAME HIM.

That wouldn't be difficult. They don't even bother to read their own multi-thousand page laws before they pass them, and they're proud to tell you so.

I should have said "AT LEAST 5 years in the senate, and maybe 8 years as president" ;)
Either way, he's going to be giving liberals in both party the vapors for a LONG time.
