“It wouldn’t be wise,” he said, “to just kick the debt-ceiling can down the road for a couple months, and flirt with a first-ever intentional default right in the middle of the holiday shopping season. Because damage to America’s sterling credit rating wouldn’t just cause global markets to go haywire; it would become more expensive for everyone in America to borrow money. Students paying for college. Newlyweds buying a home. It would amount to a new tax—a Republican default tax—on every family and business in America.” …

Mny believe that we are Taxed Enough Already and resent paying for more Food Stamps which are part of Bammy's personal, political EBT Card that needs to be shut down.

“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. government can’t pay its own bills. ... I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit.”

Sen. Baraq Obama, 16 March 2006

This is exactly the opposite of the truth.

Allowing the government to spend more causes them to print more money causing inflation which devalues the dollar and acts as a “tax”.

Holding the line on spending avoids new taxes.

So he wants to pee on the Christmas selling season, with retailers hanging on by their fingernails, just so he can blame it on those who oppose him.

What a POS.

It is not necessary to default. We have PLENTY of money coming in to pay the interest due on the current debt.

We don’t have the money to pay for just a whole lot of things that are, frankly, luxuries and indulgences, and in some instances, buying nothing at all of continuing or lasting benefit.

What everyone should understand is that by giving so much away to non-producers and allowing the debt to skyrocket - Obama has already put a confiscation of wealth tax in place it just hasn't been Codified yet.

Pay the interest, downsize, and kick the can as far as it has to go until Americans start electing people who know how to manage and grow America’s wealth as well as spend it.

What kills me is that not one single Senator has not taken to floor of the Senate to compare and contrast the absolute hypocritical demagoguery we have to listen anytime this Marxist wags his forked tongue. He is ad nauseum ad infinitum.

You’re right and I am in complete agreement with you, however Senator’s Ted Cruz and Mike Lee are the exceptions.

But when do they do the side by side? Compare quotes from then and now? They had the chance at the Values Conference. Blown opportunity IMO.

Oh, I'm sure they do all the time. You just never hear them because the MSM only broadcasts what Dear Reader or the RINO surrender monkeys have to say.
