I like Hume a lot. I agree with the barf alert on this one. Hume sounded like a RINO sympatico.

Have to agree with Brit again.

This attempt to sway government back towards sanity was as successful as John Brown's siege of Harpers Ferry.

That said, we may see the next civil war soon. Fervor of this level often boils over.

I think Brit was correct with his analysis. The end game was non existent.
The tea party is fed up with the games.

Or Brit is caught in the assumption that the old-and-in-the-way Republican Party can eke out a win, though they’ve been on the losing end since HW took the WH

It is over. Cruz is in charge. They were able to do so after being in charge for only a few months. That actually speaks to how utterly weak the old guard is. Who, BTW, still has plenty of fight in it from lobby money and they use it against conservatives

The inside the beltway mentality. Quid pro quo compromise is the only thing they understand. They can't see that intransigence stops all the nonsense. Shut it down forever! Give-and-take in Washington long ago regressed into the GOP gives and the Dems take.

Get a clue Brit Hume! You will say nothing gets done that way! We say exactly so!

Humes’ calling Cruz a Pied Piper should beware of the history of him...or maybe he already does know it.
+++++++++
“The Pied Piper of Hamelin . . . was a real man, but there was nothing enchanting about him. Quite the opposite; he was horrible, a psychopath and pederast who, on June 24, 1484, spirited away 130 children in the Saxon village of Hammel and used them in unspeakable ways. Accounts of the aftermath vary. According to some, the victims were never seen again; others told of disembodied little bodies found scattered in the forest underbrush or festooning the branches of trees.”

Brit has been leaning moderate for a long time. I respected his opinion until he spoke so viciously against Newt during the Presidential campaign. Now he’s just another talking head.

I like him too. What do we get? We flush out the enemies of freedom and the servants of socialists in the pubbie party. These people I’ll not be able to lie to us and get away with it anymore. Some of these Quislings will be primaried out shortly. Plus, we showed the elites who is really in charge...the people, not them.

Fox is off the rails - Krauthammer again tonight went crazy left, again gratuitously bringing up the rigged NBC poll from last week to rub in how poorly the ‘pubs are doing in the shutout battle, then agreed that “Redskins” is an offensive word and should not be used - fortunately the audience on the “Bing” rating system threw it back in his face, agreeing with George Will that the Republicans were coming out well and that the opinions of native Americans should count in determining the “offensiveness” of the name - I continue to wonder about the significance of the hush-hush White House meeting with that bunch of conservative writers last week - I wonder if some threatening didn’t take place to try to tamper down the opposition.....

Have you ever heard anyone use the word "redskins" in any manner OTHER than when referring to the NFL team?

Let alone as a pejorative.

As a half-Mexican, I am offended by the term "Hispanic". It lumps people of various distinct cultures together into one but that doesn't stop the bleeding hearts from using it.

I don’t know if anyone noticed on Special Report that their electronic voting only recorded INTENSITY of voting not the usual voting on what each were actually saying.

The only reason I can think of the panel and moderator knows ahead of time what the subject will be and decided it may be shedding a bad light on what each were saying as they spoke.

Krauthammer probably insisted on it.

You and me both. When Brit Hume went after Gingrich so hard during the election and lied too, I saw things quite clearly and right now on Fox all I hear is how Cruz took the focus off the horrible Obamacare launch in the news. Rush Limbaugh said today we could still win this if the Republicans in the Senate vote right. Trump slammed the establishment republicans on Fox today who were attacking those who want to make a difference. He also slammed the media quoting the bogus polls saying the Republicans are to blame. Fox is getting worse and worse. What a shame.

My initial reaction was like many here but I listened to what he said a 2nd time and it sure sounded like he was attacking the tea party in the first part of his commentary but then gave a very good list of reasons for the actions of the Tea Party.

He sure did NOT agree that all the “Progressive” actions of the Federal Government have been good and in fact he really went after the “Entitlement” mentality and the bloated government. You know, sort of what what we are supposed to stand for.

I know there a many here who have a knee jerk reaction towards FOX if they even disagree on one issue but I think Brit was spot on.

Have you ever heard anyone use the word "redskins" in any manner OTHER than when referring to the NFL team?...exactly right, and exactly the point someone should have made to Krauthammer when he was going on and on about "words taking on new meanings" - Redskins has taken on the meaning of the name of a football team in Washington, and certainly has no pejorative meaning in the minds of the vast majority of those who use it - and what's all the yapping about how offensive it is to refer to people by reference to the color of their skin - blacks might disagree.......

I get irate whenever I hear any of the pundits acting like the Tea Party is stupid/evil and I was angry at Brit tonight. Haven’t been watching TV at all for months, because I’ve noticed this left drift. Fox just seems to keep saying we can’t ever restore our nation to a sensible stage, or get back to the Constitutional principles that have sustained us this far. They may be right, but sounding like losers is never a way to win a battle.

Upon watching it a second time, I see what you're saying.

Hume isn't calling Cruz's efforts "reckless and doomed", he's just saying Cruz and Tea Partiers don't care if their efforts are viewed by spineless, weak-kneed Republicans or ruling class elites in the media like himself view them as such.

Maybe it was his tone and his facial expressions that made me want to pee on him.

People need to listen to the whole statement by Hume. The opening states the view that this is a hopeless mission (RINO view). But then Hume states the Tea Party perspective on out of control spending quite well. I don’t expect journalists / analysts to sound like either liberal or conservative hacks. I just want them to state the facts and perspectives out there without spin and lying. Hume just stated the RINO and Tea Party perspectives.

Fox changed a lot after the election. That means if you work at Fox and want to stay at Fox, you’d better change, too. Order number one was to start licking Obama’s butt. And condemning the Tea Party is the number two order.

Pretty amazing that George Will sounds more conservative than Kraut these days.3...Will at least puts up an argument to try to defend and justify what's going on - Krauthammer always wants to throw in the towel as soon as the going gets rough - I remember him calling the Swiftboat vets "liars" and other things worse when they first started to make a little noise - and I'm getting the impression that Krauthammer may be feeling a bit jealous and threatened that he's not the only intellectual conservative on the scene at Fox since Will showed up.....
