(CNSNews.com) - If Congress passes legislation deferring a decision on the debt ceiling and stopgap government funding, Republicans should anticipate another crisis in six to eight weeks, Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) said on Monday.
"We have to anticipate Ted Cruz is going to try to do this again. Ted Cruz and 30 or 40 people in the House. And we have to start going after him by name. I've been doing it all along. I wish I had more company on it."
King said "we just can't have" Republicans or Ted Cruz second-guessing the final outcome of the current stalemate.
"What's going to happen, months from now, after this is resolved, he's going to say, 'Republicans were on the edge of winning. But they lost their nerve in the end, and they caved in. This time it's going to work.' I think he's going to rewrite history. And we have to make sure he doesn't do it. And it's really time to speak out against him. And also again, there's about 30 or 40 (conservatives) in the House who are going to go with him. We can't let John Boehner and Eric Cantor be put into this position again. They told us in mid-September this would be a disaster."
King said Republicans all over the country are going to suffer because of what Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has done: "I don't care where you're from, what Ted Cruz is doing is affecting the entire country."
King said "there's no doubt that Democrats are winning" right now, but he also said that President Obama needs to "play a more aggressive role" in bringing the two sides together. - See more at: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/rep-peter-king-we-have-start-going-after-ted-cruz-name#sthash.GiHprG4W.dpuf

It's time conservatives stop giving Repubs an excuse in the form of "files by NSA/FBI/CIA", etc. For the most part, that's total tinfoil hat crap!
No. The truth is, too many Repub pols are socialists and go-along-get-along BSers who want their fluffy perks. The sooner we accept and deal with that, the better.

I was a witness to this war between the 'moderates' and the conservatives back in the early 80s when I got involved and went to the district and state Republican conventions. It seems like the moderates are getting nervous now.I think Ted Cruz has helped us all to identify the moderates in the party and they're the ones who need to be voted out of office in the primaries.

He's just a plain ole ordinary POS traitor. He wants to keep his freebies. He sees the Cruz faction closing in and so he's running to what he thinks is safety -- the MSM and the socialist Demoncrats. Nothing more complicated than that.

The fresh, ‘we’re here for the American people by way of the Constitution’ approach that Senator Cruz presents, might sell a whole lot better.
That’s what my people are counting on.
