The basic framework of the deal Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid have hammered out is coming to light.

The provision the GOP is crowing over — that the Obama Administration will check the income levels of those who receive a subsidy — is already the law. Meanwhile, the GOP will let the rest of the year proceed above sequester level spending, give the unions another carve out of Obamacare, and extend the debt limit to February.

I’m sure at the last minute they’ll also delay the medical device tax so it looks like Harry Reid caved on something. Really, it’ll just be so McConnell’s and Boehner’s staffers on K Street get something out of the deal.

But don’t worry. Karl Rove’s Crossroads group is going to start spending money to protect Mitch McConnell from Matt Bevin in Kentucky.

Ted Cruz was right all along. Americans need House Republicans to fight. Mitch McConnell has no appetite for it. Senate Republicans are openly hoping to blame a debt default on Ted Cruz. They want to blame him for everything. They hate being seen as the capitulators that they are.

Conservatives in the House of Representatives need to stand up and pledge to vote against any rule on this plan. It does not defund Obamacare. It does not delay Obamacare. Heck, it does not even require that Obamacare go into effect as designed with no exemptions, exceptions, or delays. If they won’t defund or delay it, they should at least make it go into effect on schedule, on time, and by design — not with another union carve out.

Extend the debt ceiling so the manufactured nonsense about defaulting goes away, then keep the fight on the continuing resolution about Obamacare.

The RedState contact email is now getting one anti-GOP email for every one anti-Democrat email. That has never happened before. All these polls showing America hates the GOP are accurate. Even Republicans hate the GOP and the GOP might have to learn that the hard way in 2014 primaries.

I now refer to what was formerly the evil unhealthy care plot as Lucifercare.

When Harry Reid and Glitch McConnell start giggling like imbeciles when talking on the Senate floor about the secret deal they've been negotiating, it's because they're about to agree on each thief's share of the American taxpayers wallet they've just stolen.

This plan sounds like something Mitch would agree to.

“They hate being seen as the capitulators that they are.”

I believe most of us already know what cowards the RINO’s are. most like me are looking for somewhere else to go. The Republicans E’s are killing themselves.

"what cowards the RINO’s are."

We should not be surprised. They have been for a long time. I am no longer a Republican and never will be again as long as the RINOS run the show.
We have kicked the can down the road too many times.
That is all this so-called deal does.
I am ready to march with my new pitch fork. . . .

I hope the House forces Obama’s hand.

He has promised default. If he delivers, it should mean impeachment. Impeachment or not, it will bring about the collapse of what little remains of constitutional government.

With congress at a total impasse, Obama will get what the left has plotted and schemed for these past hundred years, rule by decree.

The only reason I am keeping the "R" on my voters registration card is to exercise my voice in the primaries.

After the primaries, the "R's" are hittin' the "R"oad.

McConnell is just trying to salvage his political partners’ chances in the elections next year.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3079011/posts

“Sen. Ted Cruz met with roughly 15 to 20 House Republicans for roughly two hours late Monday night at the Capitol Hill watering hole Tortilla Coast.

The group appeared to be talking strategy about how they should respond to a tentative Senate deal to reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling without addressing Obamacare in a substantive way, according to sources who witnessed the gathering. The Texas Republican senator and many of House Republicans in attendance had insisted on including amendments aimed at dismantling Obamacare in the continuing resolution that was intended to avert the current shutdown.

Sources said the House Republicans meeting in the basement of Tortilla Coast with Cruz were some of the most conservative in the House: Reps. Louie Gohmert of Texas, Steve King of Iowa, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Raúl Labrador of Idaho, Steve Southerland of Florida, Mark Meadows of North Carolina, and Justin Amash of Michigan.

The group is a collection of members who have often given leadership headaches in recent years by opposing both compromise measures as well as packages crafted by fellow Republicans. And, it seems, leadership unwittingly became aware of the meetup.

While the dinner meeting was held in a private basement room, the group was spotted by Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who was dining with some other members, including Gregg Harper, R-Miss. McCarthy is a regular at the Capitol Hill watering hole, and a source said he seemed particularly interested in what the group was up to.”

We have kicked the can down the road too many times. That is all this so-called deal does.

It is much more than kicking that can a bit further. It is improving the Democrats' electoral prospects for the imminent midterms. That is important to McConnell, and Boner and the Mainstream Republicans. Being Speaker is a nice job. One would think that Boner would want to keep that job past November of next year. I don't think he does, though.

Union and corporation obamacare relief is not a kick of the can. It’s a kick in the face to everybody on Main Street forced to live under the tyranny of kenyancare.

So they are fighting for something which is already the law.

Remind me never to hire these clowns to negotiate for me. I would wind up paying two times the asking price for a house.

Clowns on parade.

When are people going to accept that the GOP doesn’t want to cut spending. They don’t even want to cut waste, fraud, abuse. All any of them want, except for a select few, is ride the horse until it dies.

The polls showing that everybody hates the GOP are right

I have said, for a long time, that many voters who belong on our side will never, ever vote for a Republican, so deep is their hatred of the GOP. It is, to me, the major reason to support a new, conservative party.

I live in NH, where some of the most loathesome country-clubbers on Earth are the face of the party, so, of course, YMMV based on where you live.

” All any of them want, except for a select few, is ride the horse until it dies.”

And then go to work as a 7 figure lobbyist. Really, it’s the same for all politicians, isn’t it? What they care about is winning the next election and then, when ready to retire, cashing in. Sigh....

Is it possible to have a government without politicians?
