5 Republicans Who Deserve To Lose Their Jobs Over Their Shutdown Behavior
Townhall.com ^ | 10-15-2013 | John Hawkins

Posted on 10/15/2013 6:35:21 AM PDT by servo1969

You don't go on television during a shutdown and tell the world that your party is shutting down the government. You don't go out and take vicious shots at other Republicans for advocating the strategy your party is engaged in, especially when you don't have the cahones to go after Democrats the same way. If conservative Republicans like Justin Amash and Tim Huelskamp were punished for not being deferential enough to leadership, how is it that establishment Republicans can actively work to undermine the Republican Party during a shutdown fight and get a complete pass?

If these mediocrities are so desperate to get in the good graces of the media that they're willing to try to sabotage their own party, then they should change teams and become Democrats. If they want to become commentators so they can say what they want without it hurting the GOP, they should quit and go to work for MSNBC. If they just don't like it because there are actually conservatives who expect them to get off their lazy asses and fight for conservatism for the first time in their entire political careers instead of just talking a good game when it doesn't matter, then they're in the wrong business. In any case, after the petulant way these Republicans have behaved during the shutdown, tell me why anyone other than Democrats would miss them if they lost in a primary?

If you do, you have exposed your true position. i.e. it’s not your party. You are a plant.

McCain and Grahamnesty were ALREADY on similar lists prior to this confrontation so they had little to lose.

King’s district is Long Island NY, probably Christie fans.

I keep expecting Graham to have a meltdown like Spector did about how he is not going to let the voters end his political career.

If the Repubs fold on this, I shall NEVER again vote for a Repub.

I know this means that the dim-bulbs will transition us from a full stall into a death spin.

However, the only diff will be the time involved before we crash, and we may as well get it over with so that we can have CW-II, take care of the liberals after it’s over, and start anew.

All kidding aside, sooner or later we’re going to have to face the fact that if one is not prepared to right for what one believes, one doesn’t really believe anything at all.

I Just Realized Something:

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.

He has his food prepared for him.

His meals are provided at no cost to him.

He visits the Dr. once a year for his checkup and again during the year, if any medical needs arise.

For this he pays nothing, and nothing is required of him.

He lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.

If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.

He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.

He receives these accommodations absolutely free.

He is living like a king and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.

All of his costs are picked up by others who earn a living.

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a ton of bricks ~

MY dog is a CONGRESSMAN!!!

Where’s Murkowski’s name? She kept her US Senate seat by devious means after losing the primary, and seems to act like loyalty to Republican voters is beneath her. Then there’s Stupid Sue Collins of Maine. These two women would do us less harm if they were dems.

I'll cut Peter King a little slack because he's from New Yawk and has a wobbly constituency. He's also been one of the few voices in congress willing to challenge Islamofacism.

Don't know anything about Nunes district but, yes, definitely #2, #3 and #4 need to go!

In today's parlance these are Chuckie Schumer Republicans.

I don’t blame you for being furious with Peter King. But he used to wear the white hat all the time.

Maybe he’s just stubbornly wrong on this one issue? As for McStain and Grahamnesty — full grown turkeys basted with 100% RINO oil.

It’s interesting how we were so concerned about the parties going socialist when, in fact, they were hell bent on Fascism and it took us way too long to notice.

I would cut King some slack based on his district if he just STFU. Since he hasn’t, he deserves no slack.

Nunes’ District wraps around Fresno (but does not include it). It’s adjacent to two National Parks, so if he’s gone wobbly about the shutdown he’s probably worried about all the people who are on paid vacation.

Well .. are we just going to sit here and rattle off obsenities to the repubs ..??

OR, are we going to get involved in the Tea Party or Freedom Works - and support and vote for REAL conservatives ..??

If we take option 2, we could keep the house (and fill it with lots more Ted Cruz and Mike Lee people); and then take back the Senate - to keep Obama from getting anything more of his “transformation of America” stuff.

EIGHTY-ONE (81%) of the American people are unhappy with govt .. so here is our golden opportunity to change it. We don’t have to walk around telling the left what we’re going to do .. WE JUST NEED TO DO IT. The results will speak for themselves. The left will be fuming and that’s exactly what we want.

Remember, the repub elites tried to take over FreedomWorks, and they were stopped. Proving what we alredy know .. they’re all HAT and no CATTLE.

We have leadership (Cruz, Lee, Palin) .. all we have to do is get behind them and it will hopefully lead to a lot more victories. We need to win big in 2014, and we need to win big in 2016. If we don’t, it could mean the end of America as we know it .. and I believe, firmly, that the 81% do not want to see the end of America.

We can’t just give up .. WE CAN’T!!!
