Some health insurance brokers are setting up states that mimic the name and look of the official state exchanges. But the fake sites are easily identifiable because, unlike the official sites, they work.

The unofficial sites can sell real insurance plans however those plans have not been certified by the government and are therefore not eligible for government subsidies. So if you log on to a health insurance exchange site that seems to be working properly, caveat emptor.

The chaos of ACA websites is a dream for scammers, who aren’t selling insurance AT ALL, but simply masquerading as an Obamacare entry point.

This reminds me of an incident during the War Between the States. Lincoln waged economic warfare by counterfeiting CSA dollars, and on at least one occasion the counterfeiters were given away by the superior quality of their product.

Actually, both are scamming at it worst except one depends on you being stupid and the other...wait a minute...they both depend on you being stupid enough to believe you and give them your money for nothing of value.
I guess the only difference is one has intelligent management and the other is run by the low end of the gene pool.
