Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., is no fan of Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.
The New York congressman made it clear on Monday’s "Morning Joe" that he will work to stop Cruz and his allies in their tracks.
“I’ve been speaking out against Ted Cruz and this whole crazy movement since it started,” King told MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski.
King also said he thought that “there’s no doubt that the Democrats are winning,” and that President Obama needed to play “a more aggressive role” in the negotiations to reopen the government and lift the debt ceiling.
King also warned that Cruz and his allies would pick another fight soon.
“We as Republicans have to anticipate there’s going to be another one of these in six weeks or eight weeks or three months — whatever it is,” King said. “And we just can’t have national Republicans criticizing the system.”

Isn’t it the Republican position to question the government?
“We have to anticipate Ted Cruz is going to try to do this again,” King said. “Ted Cruz, and 30 or 40 people in the House — and we have to start going after him by name.”
King claimed that Cruz will try to “rewrite history” when his movement loses.
“What will happen is months from now, after this is resolved, he’s going to say, ‘Republicans were on the verge of winning, but they lost their nerve at the end and they caved in — this time it’s going to work.’” King said.
“And [Cruz] is going to rewrite history and we have to make sure he doesn’t do it,” King said. “It’s really time to speak out against him.”

Freepers have been saying that since Peter King demonized any conservative who went after Clinton in 1998. Then King works the talk shows when the primary election rolls around, and beats his chest about how pro-life and anti-illegal alien he is, and promises that he alone will investigate Sharia law and locate radical Muslims in the U.S.
The result is a bunch of gullible conservatives decide all is forgiven and that we "need" King in Congress.
Call me cynical if I don't believe King's 326,764,325th example of his backstabbing treason will FINALLY convince conservatives to dump him..

Cruz takes little peter king to leadership school but little peter won’t lead, can’t follow, and thrives on getting in the way.
Cruz is setting the standard, raising the bar far above self service, making integrity, honesty, boldness, character and sacrifice, once again the principles of leadership, he is quickly gaining the respect, confidence and loyalty from all those who wish to once again see a free republic.

Dear Mr. King, The stories that you think Ted Cruz is the enemy are troubling to say the least. It is that kind of circular firing squad mentality that has the Republican base in such disarray. Republicans are generally elected to champion conservative, Constitutional values and philosophies. You and many of your cohorts seem to think that your job is to kiss the rings of Harry Reid and Barrack Obama and to betray the faith and trust of the People at every turn. Your base is diminishing because you are so complicit in the Left's attempt to burn the Constitution and to subjugate the People. You make inane statements like, "ObamaCare is the law of the land" and exhort us to roll over for this monstrosity because you are too weak to oppose tyranny - who knows, maybe you consider yourself a moinor tyrant and feel superior to those who you swore to represent along with the Constitution. In the run up to 2016 after the electorate has had an opportunity to see what a freaking disaster Obiecare is they will look around and see who stood to fight the good fight and who didn’t. You, Mr King will be found wanting.
Cruz is in the Senate. King is in the House. King's argument and vitriol should be directed at his colleagues in the House where Cruz may have influence, but no control.
Why isn't King attacking conservatives in the House who are standing against ObamaCare? Because he's too chicken to face them on the House floor every day, so he runs to the media. What a disgrace.

Peter King had better be prepared to live in the world he leaves us.
Looks to me that King is a very demented and dangerous politician for some reason. I suspect his reasons are as much pseudo conservative as jealousy over a younger persons showing or daring to make a difference in USA politics.
Hopefully, someone will get copies of King’s NSA/IRS/FBI files and post them on a protected site for a full review of this vile man.
