Last year I was driving in the rain on Rt. 9 In Brookline, MA, and I saw two car dealerships, one across the street from the other.

Each of them had a flag pole at the front of their property. On each one was an American flag at full mast soaked and hanging in the rain. Both flags were tattered beyond what appears in your photo.

I keep meaning to go back there and take a picture, but my travels don’t regularly take me to that spot.

I had the same reaction to those tattered as flags as you did to your photo.

That one really sums it up. And how can that man be considered a member of a “minority” because one way or the other, it appears that it is a majority who are now begging at/for the (non-existent) mercy of the beast (literally in the photo, as that is that name of the lim0).

And the license plate of the beast has bugged me since day one, as if it is some sort of code. 800 = 002. Maybe is simply represents massive devaluation of everything and anything that is America. E.g. $800 is worth .002 dollars (quite a bit less than my 2 cents).

That’s a heartbreaking image, but oh so true.
