Can a branch, Senate or House, adjourn without consent of the other branch? I know they can go
into recess but adjournment I’m not sure.

Maybe someone can explain......

Not for more than three days. They would not adjourn because the president has the power to call them back, and he would love that!

I remember the Democrats in Wisconsin leaving town when the union legislation was in play to avoid a vote, and they hid from the Sergeant at arms to avoid being dragged back.

Why can’t Republicans do what the Democrats dis in Wisconsin?

By the way, Wisconsin has a budget surplus “Larger than expected.!”
