The Obama administration’s internal projections called for strong enrollment in the states in the first year of new health insurance markets, according to unpublished estimates obtained by The Associated Press.

The draft, dated Sept. 20, broke down the figure of 7 million among states. It estimated the expected enrollment in California, for example, at 1. 3 million people in 2014. The estimate for Texas was 629,000 and for Florida, 477,000. The report estimated 340,000 people would enroll in Washington state, and 218,000 in New York.

If it cost him his job it’d be worth every penny.

Glitches? Do these idiots know what a glitch is?

According to Merriam-Webster: “an unexpected and usually minor problem”

Anybody think this is unexpected, minor and temporary?

This is typical big gov’t SNAFU.

But, the low-big winner of the contract, the one kicked out of Canada, the one who had 5+ years to get this $hit right, did such a pi$$ poor job with American tax dollars (in both design, functionality, and the higher-end networking portion), that the system sucks and will continue to suck for quite some time.

I would love to know the following about this IT project:

Who does the owner of the company know in Washington?

How much was the original contract estimate and how much was the final cost on roll-out date - remembering there are still billable hours in fixing this monster.

If anyone will lose their job over this because I can damn well guarantee if someone rolled out a project like this in the real, non-Washington beltway, people would lose their jobs and/or do warranty work for quite some time.

Will attorneys be called in to seek whether or not the company providing the services will be audited for their due diligence or lack thereof?

In this article ....

found this comment .....

“Toni Townes-Whitley, Senior Vice President at CGI Federal for Civilian Agency programs, is Princeton Class of 1985. Michelle Obama is Princeton Class of 1985. Both are members of Association of Black Princeton Alumni. Ask the questions, MSM.”

Don’t know if it’s accurate/true or not ... but it makes you wonder.

So, they lie to each other internally as well as to the public.

The “glitches” were the cover story, as the sites were never a serious effort to enroll people in the programs. This was merely a way to mine data, and once the data is put in by the victim, er, client, it is to be stored and used in a manner not necessarily only for “enrollment” purposes.

But worse than that cynical view, is the built-in excuse that the “system” cannot work, and the next step, single-payer government administered health “insurance” takes over completely.

The Current Regime now squatting in the White Hut (or “Spite Hut”) hired probably one of the more incompetent IT teams out there to set up the website, and with three years, they could still not get it right. The mistake was to set up a complicated system without taking it through the necessary construction and intermediate testing protocols, building from simple to more complex. Most of the large commercial sites on the Internet today started off as relatively simple information entry sites, then added features as they became necessary or could show some economic benefit.

An implosion would be a kindness for this GIGO complexity.

Officials instead cited a congressional estimate that 7 million people would gain coverage in the first year through the markets, which offer subsidized private insurance to people who don’t have a job-based health plan.

How soon until bigwigs at the Washington Post and New York Times decide that rather than further 'cuts in staff' they're going to dump health care benefits ... and make their staff get "ObamaCare"? My guess is soon - along with hundreds of other companies that want to stay competitive. This little nightmare will soon effect all of us - well, except for the dependent class that holds up white liberal elites.

They never tested their plan before developing rosy scenarios.

It’s a liberal disease.
