President Obama’s top adviser Valerie Jarrett was behind a plan to force a showdown with Republicans over ObamaCare as part of a strategy to regain Democratic control of the House next year, claims author Ed Klein.
Klein — who wrote a provocative biography about Obama last year entitled “The Amateur” — said White House insiders refer to Jarrett as “The Night Stalker” because she is the only presidential aide who frequently spends time in the family quarters and dines with the Obamas.
Klein, who is conducting a research for a new Obama tome scheduled for next spring, called Jarrett the “architect” of Obama’s take-no- prisoners approach when it comes to his signature domestic policy initiative.
It was Jarrett who advised Obama that voters would mostly blame Republicans if the federal government ground to a halt, providing a golden opportunity to swing back control of the House to Democrats in the 2014 mid-term elections, according to Klein.
A Democratic House would give Obama an opportunity to pass immigration and other legislation blocked by the current Republican majority.
“It was during one of those nightly sessions that Jarrett devised the no-negotiating strategy that Obama has employed in his fight with the GOP over the government shutdown,” Klein said, citing sources within the administration.
“Valerie came up with the concept late at night, after the kids and grandma and were gone.”
“She convinced the president that a government shutdown and default offered a great opportunity to demonize the Republicans and help the Democrats win back a majority in the House of Representatives in 2014 .

I really respect and envy her ability to influence so many things in US policies by proposing strategies based on offense, not defense. Compared that to the Republican’s strategies in general that seem to be based on defense (and surrender).

I have seen this type behavior and personality traits throughout history, and the results are always the same. It always ends badly.

I buy it, we all know that it takes someone with balls to come up with this and that excludes obamaramadingdong from the git go.
Obama cannot ever throw Valerie under the bus. The question is, will she throw him under the bus? He is entirely under her control. So is Michelle. I don't know who she's working for, but Obama has no control over this. Or anything.

Valerie Jarrett understood Boehner and McConnell, but underestimated Ted Cruz and the Tea Party caucus. Her strategy is playing into the hands of the good guys.
Soros is a suspect, no doubt.
But, while he finances many liberal schemes, I question whether he's a prime mover in all this.
For what it's worth, my theory is that Jarrett, Obama, William Ayers, Dohrn, Axelrod, Alinsky et al were all members of a Communist cell based in Chicago.
Further, Jarrett and Obama were connected to Arab financiers once they started supporting the black activists in the late seventies. This group was also closely associated with the Communist efforts at subversion.
But, in the eighties, Soviet financing of the Communist network started shrinking -- and the domestic network encountered a money crunch. A deal was struck...and Arab money started flowing to the domestic Communist cell, as well -- organized around the idea of eventually infiltrating the Democrat party hierarchy.
In 1989, the Soviets, of course, dropped out. And the remaining apparatus was a Communist network coupled to Arab (Muslim Brotherhood) financing.
The deal culminated in Obama's candidacy and election. The division of power was: domestic policy to the Communists, foreign policy to the MB.
Historically, it makes sense. And it explains the extreme policy manifestations.
But I still can't figure exactly who is calling the shots back in Chicago -- though William Ayers can't be discounted.
I would not doubt she is capable of ordering the murders of millions. What she does not realize if it ever comes to that she will regret she was ever born.

Voters don't have an attention span long enough. They pretty much vote based on what happens during the 2 weeks prior to an election.
I'm pretty sure all politicians are well aware of this fact, so this shutdown has nothing to do with 2014 midterms. This is about a few honest folks in Congress trying to do the right thing for the people vs the rest who just want to kiss up to Obama.
Obama is simply too arrogant/lazy/stupid to deal with fixing anything that has anything to do with the economy. He doesn't want to be bothered with trivial things like budgets.
Well, VJ seems to be coming out of the shadows, which is curious within itself. Ken Fisher of Fisher House was on OReilly tonight discussing the handling of the five dead soldiers. When BOR asked him if Hagel called he said,yes and thanked him. Then BOR asked if Obama had called him he responded no, but stated Valerie Jarret had called him.
