Affordable Care Act driving some premiums up
ABC-7 San Francisco ^ | October 15, 2013 | By Michael Finney

SAN FRANCISCO - One reason the Republicans are so adamantly against Obamacare, is that it's driving individual insurance premiums up. And with the law now kicking in, the bills are coming due.

In looking into this, we talked to health insurance companies, and representatives of Covered California, agency implementing the Affordable Care Act in California. What they told us may be a bitter pill to swallow, for those who will pay more.

Cynthia Jaynes thought her family would benefit from the Affordable Care Act.

The author of several young adult books says her family will see a minimum 11 percent increase in her premiums with Blue Shield but that's not what bothers her the most.

"We would have to pay, out of pocket, for all of our prescriptions until we reached that $9,000 family deductible," said Jaynes.

But Obama said it will cost less than your cell phone bill and signing up will be easier than ordering a Pizza.

Gee, why isn’t the media holding him to his word?

Maybe because they are all a bunch of Obama butt-boys.

If we had an honest media, this clown would have never been elected.

Instead, they held him up as some kind of Messiah while trashing a true American, Sarah Palin.

Freakin’ idiots.

Obama and the majority of the MSM should be out of a job and even in jail for tyranny.

Thanks Obama voters - you’ve flushed a once-great country down the drain. How stupid were you to believe the BS coming out of the mouth of this con man?

Had I known that half of America was this stupid, I would have worked in sales, but I have a conscious unlike out MSM and Homobama.

And people wonder why I’m getting the hell out of here when I turn 62...

Hopefully Social Security will still be solvent by then, but I’m not counting on it. I see the worst case scenario occurring thanks to the Boy Blunder and it’s going to be ugly.

I hope all those 20-somethings that voted for “Hope and Change” get their taxes jacked sky-high to pay for Obama’s incompetence.

Either way, we’re on borrowed time and I believe that time will run out during my lifetime.

Meanwhile, the MSM acts like everything is just Jim fukking Dandy.

Just a few short years ago, Ronald Reagan was President and America was riding high.

Then the Dems got into power and trashed our once great country in just a few short years.

What a freakin’ nightmare.

And now Kalifornia is giving DL’s to Illegals, letting them practice law, giving them General Assistance, Food Stamps, Section 8 housing, etc...all at the expense of people that have worked hard their entire lives just to see some Dems piss it all away.

Sadly, our once great country is gone and it’s not coming back. Not in my lifetime anyway.

And it’s only going to get worse. Guess who the MSM will blame?

I don't object to that.

The moral issue here is why they feel they're entitled to force me to join their charity at the point of a gun. I don't force -- or even ask -- them to contribute to my charities. If they want to provide healthcare for deadbeats, no one will try to stop them.

The truth is that the principle that's more important to them is that every knee must bow to their god, not that they want to help the poor.

I saw a 340% increase in my cancer insurance and a 40% increase in the basic healthcare premium.

Not only that but my co-pays are gone and like the article says, I have to burn through a ton of money before I see any benefit.

I understand from many that they have lost their low priced insurance due to Obamacare.

I've heard of people loosing their jobs due to the Affordable Health Care Act (yeah real affordable to loose your job).

Obamacare is a disaster imposed upon America.

The reason Obunga won’t move on the individual mandate delay is because once his Marxist Healthcare plan is off and running, it will be hard to stop. A vast majority of Americans get their insurance through their jobs and have not seen what next years premiums will be. It’s going to be ugly once they are published at which point the Anti Obamacare movement will be whipped into a real frenzy.

“I do want to emphasize that I don't want the Affordable Care Act repealed. There's too much good in it. It's a fabulous first step,” she said.

A good Reporter would have followed up with “What is it that you believe is good about this bill?”

Liberalism truly is a mental disorder.

To all LIBs/DIMs/RINOs... Bwahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I find your squirming, whining and discomfort somewhat amusing and entertaining. May YOUR “affordable” bill strip your finances until you are wandering aimlessly begging for mercy.
