We made dry ice bombs in high school. Also any exothermic powder or granules mixed with liquid. A good one was granulated chlorine with acid poured in. Put the cap on damn fast and run like hell. In threaded PVC tube with caps on both ends it explodes inside a closed vehicle with enough force to blow out every window and then chlorine burns anything the residue touches.

A dust explosion got us the biggest boom along with flames.

This is the stuff you used to do as a kid. Now it's something Homeland Security goes nuts over.

What’s next? LAX under siege from a potato mortar cannon? We used to fire tennis balls over a hundred yards with campbell’s soup cans with the ends cut out and duct taped together except for the last one you made a small hole to spray in the ronson lighter fluid and stuff the fuse.

My money says the guy works for Sky Chefs. That's where he got the dry ice. The catering people at LAX are usually illegal aliens and they used to walk around TSA screening (yes, you read that right) and directly access the ramp without going through metal detector/Xray screening.

I heard that they halted the walk-arounds sometime after 2006, but it went on for way too long. This was probably some type of test run to see how ground security would react.

not real clear if he is now employed as a ramp supervisor or former ramp supervisor, but was confirmed he does work for ServisAir

Chertoff’made milions off of terrorism by selling body scanners. Maybe they’ll now come up with a dry ice scanner. Gen Smedley Butler had it right.

An employee?!

On 9/11, the box cutters were likely planted on the plane by somebody on the ground cleaning crew. After 9/11, there was an announcement that box cutters were found on two other planes that never took off.
