Nathan Bedford's first Maxim of American politics: all politics in America is not local but ultimately racial.

New Jersey is making its choice and it is not difficult to predict. That choice is not determined by equity or even by enlightened self-interest, rather it is determined by tribe.

I don't know how that plays out in New Jersey. You're basically looking at an election between two white guys.

One of the most comical scenes in recent political memory was the Democratic primary race for Newark mayor a few years ago, when Cory Booker eventually defeated incumbent Sharpe James. One of the key themes of James' campaign was that Booker -- a lawyer and Stanford graduate who grew up in a wealthy Bergen County suburb and whose parents were two IBM executives at the firm's headquarters in Westchester County -- wasn't "black enough" to be the mayor of Newark. ROFL.

Lonegan would be a long shot if this were the general election but he’s got a slim chance with this special election. Here’s hoping for a huge conservative turnout in Old Jersey-—make it New again.

While Lonegan realistically has about a 1% chance of winning this contest, it’s important to go through the motions of voting anyway.

Let’s go, Conservatives... we always demand conservative candidates and make the claim they’d win if they’d get nominated... well, in NJ today and in VA next month, here are the opportunities to put it all to the test. You can’t get more conservative than Lonegan and Cuccinelli. There is NO excuse for sitting at home this time. Turn out and vote... ALL HANDS are needed!

This will be a good test to see what our numbers really are.

The “media” will try to suppress conservative voting by running bogus “exit polls” showing Booker leading by 20+. Don’t buy into it... vote anyway, just because it’s the right thing to do.

Well, it’s quite a stark difference from the presidential vote last year. I went to exact same place at the exact same time and it was packed with people.. And since this is Hoboken, it’s safe to assume that they were mostly liberals.

I think the enthusiasm from the liberal side for this election is not as great as it is on the conservative side. The MSM obviously wants us to believe otherwise...

It’ll be interesting to say the least.

GO JERSEY!

It’ll be interesting to say the least.

I hope so too... We're going to be going through the same stuff in a couple weeks here in Virginia. If polls are to be believed, Cuccinelli is in for a country whipping, but I'm holding out hope, however flickering, that conservatives will defy the odds and turn out in great numbers and send Fast Terry the Bagman packing. Here in VA, conservatives have strong representation on the entire ticket (Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General). If we can't tip the balance for THESE guys against even an a-hole like McAuliffe and the two on his ticket, then it's clear we don't have the numbers anymore and that democrats will rule here for the foreseeable future.

Add to that 67 of the 100 seats in the House of Delegates are occupied by the GOP; in the Bedford district 26-term Lacey Putney (an independent who caucused with the GOP for the past 30-40 years) has retired, and the district is 2/1 conservative; and also in the 4th district (Abingdon & Lebanon), a long time ‘Rat delegate has retired, and, get this, the GOP candidate, a local attorney, is running unopposed. So, the GOP will be out to defend its supermajority in the House.

It must be very decent money indeed, if you can hope to cope with property taxes in Nutley. Owwwwww!

And without a landlord, you have to do your own plumbing repairs.

Get married, be fruitful, and best of luck to you. Sounds like you’re moving in the right direction, especially if you started out in MA :)

Me, I’d hop on 80 and not stop ‘til I reached Hazleton PA!

Thank you!!! Folks Freep this online poll big time!!! I know online polls are fuzzy at best....but a big bang in favor of Steve Lonegan can be helpful a bit, at least!!! Do it!!!!

NEW JERSEY....you can stun the entire world tonight by having Steve Lonegan defeat Flim/Flam, Con Man, low life Obamabot....Cory “the criminal, thug” Booker!!! Do it!!!

Go New Jersey, the “crossroad” state of the American Revolution!!! Remember...Monmouth....remember Trenton!!! When the despair of defeat was right at hand...General George Washington, crossed over the Delaware river, landing on the New Jersey shoreline and marched his troops through freezing weather and snow fall, some militia...with no shoes on....to surprise attack the British and Hessians bedded down in Trenton...and history records the massive victory of the American regulars & militia that changed the course of the Revolutionary war!!!

New Jersey....do it again this evening...elect Steve Lonegan as your next US Senator and change the course of American history forever. Bring Freedom, Liberty and Opportunity back to America today!!! Vote for STEVE LONEGAN!!

Fewer people vote in special elections and off-years. This gives the cheaters more ballots to fiddle with.
