Cruz could have stopped this. ANY senator could have. Has Cruz joined the RINOs?

How stupid are you to blame the only guy who had the cojones to fight this?

Just shows that we cannot put our faith in the GOP — any part of it.

TIME to FORM a NEW PARTY.

Agreed. The American Liberty Party has a nice ring to it.

“I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden.” - Barry Goldwater

Welcome to FR.

He didn’t. He stood aside and let the debt ceiling get raised. He is a coward.

Try and get your feet wet first, before calling anyone a coward. Not only is it proper Nettiquette, but you can make FRiends and influence people too.

“It’s very, very serious,” warned Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona. “Republicans have to understand we have lost this battle, as I predicted weeks ago, that we would not be able to win because we were demanding something that was not achievable.”

I really despise John McCain.

OK... maybe I went to far. Cruz IS mostly a friend. I am just ticked off. Tough day for American patriots.

"Cruz could have stopped this."

How?

Most things in the Senate that have to happen fast require unanimous consent. Any senator could have spoken up and demanded time for a debate.

No. McCain, you didn’t lose that battle. Your side, the RAT Party, won...thanks to turncoats like you and Ayotte!

If Boehner engineers a total cave and he gives Reid and Obama everything they want, then he should be removed. [He should never have been reelected Speaker, but we can't undo that.]

The next major disaster will be Immigration Reform. The Donkeys and Rino Gopee are salivating over passage.

The concurrent event with Immigration Reform and beyond will be the attempted purge of all TEA Party and conservatives members from Republican ranks. This will be ramrodded by the establishment GOP, RINOs, Donkeys, and MSM. The Republican Party as currently constituted needs to become as relevant as the Whigs.

Cruz could have filibustered. But would it have changed anything?

Cruz is very intelligent and knows the difference between losing a battle and losing the war.

There are many looming battles to be fought.
