Van Jones Celebrates Ted Cruz’s ‘Humiliating Defeat’ on CNN

In light of a deal struck by Senate leaders to reopen the government and avoid default on the country’s debt, CNN’s Van Jones cheered what he viewed as a “humiliating defeat” for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) who expressed his dissatisfaction with the compromise, while saying he would not take steps to block it.

Jones appeared on CNN shortly after the Senate announcement along with his Crossfire co-host Newt Gingrich. Wolf Blitzer began by asking the former Speaker of the House if he would have voted for this legislation if he were still in Congress. “I have no idea,” Gingrich said, explaining that he would need to see the fine print on the bill before making an assessment.

Van Jones, meanwhile, hailed the bill as a “big deal” that could ultimately affirm the “governability of the United States.” He praised “heroes” who worked behind the scenes like Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) in contrast to Cruz, who “went down to a humiliating defeat today as he deserved.”

But for Gingrich, today is a “very sad day” for America, “because the president adopted a strategy of vilifying his opponents and refusing to negotiate and it worked.” Without “fixing” the Affordable Care Act or entitlements, Gingrich said we were just “kicking the can down the road.”

Naturally, Jones saw things differently, commending President Obama for refusing to “negotiate with a party that has been hijacked by its far right-wing.” He added, “The president stood up to the bullying. I’m proud of the president today. I’m proud Harry Reid today. I’m proud of McConnell today. I’m proud of Amy Klobuchar. I think Ted Cruz should be ashamed of himself.”

Jones summed up his point like this: “Nobody wins today, but Ted Cruz loses today.”

“Humiliating? Cruz is still on the job, sucker, and you aren’t.”

Don’t be fooled. Van Jones is still heavily involved as an adviser to Obama behind the scenes.

ACORN is Back!

“Other ACORN officials haven’t allowed ACORN’s 2010 bankruptcy filing to get in the way of lobbying the Obama White House and the Justice Department run by future federal inmate Eric Holder. Lawyer Estelle H. Rogers, director of advocacy at ACORN-affiliated Project Vote, has met with a senior aide to Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett and with Van Jones’s former chief of staff.”

LOL I am glad Cruz is sitting inside the heads of Obama, Jones, and the rest of the commies in Washington. Reminds me of how they spazzed all over Palin. I love it!!

Senator Ted Cruz....you are the best!!

I wonder how Mitch feels today, knowing that he has been forced out of his closet? Cruz lost a battle, but he has unmasked many “conservatives.” Down here in Texas John Cornyn is running adds like crazy trying to prove to many who know better that he is a conservative. And it is not about just strategy. It is about goals. We know now that many Republicans like the lady senator from New Hampshire does not have repeal of ACA as a goal. The same is true about the other moderates in the senate. What they said in 2012 was just empty talk. What they say about 2014 is just empty talk. What they will say about 2016 will be just empty talk. “Give us the Senate, they say, and we will act. Give us all three branches, they say, and we will act.” We don’t have the votes, they say. But they never will have enough. Their refusal to offer alternatives to Obamacare means they do not have a plan, and they have no plan because they do not intend to overturn it.

For the first time in his life, this nigga {it's OK if you use "a" instead of "er", 'cause everyone knows that nigga is just another word for man} is proud to be a communist living in America.

What’s humiliating about shining a light on rats and cockroaches?

On the other hand, we have the glaring incompetence - that represents this entire administration - with the highly-touted zerocare rollout.

If you’re looking for utter and complete humiliation, that’s where you’ll find it.

I believe it’s only another word for man if it’s not in cursive.

“This has been a long, challenging few weeks for Congress and for the country," McConnell said. “It’s my hope that today we can put some of the most urgent issues behind us."

Yes, Mitch you are experienced in putting things behind you...

Cruz’s humiliating defeat!?! Hardly.

This was never about winning and losing Van, but resistance. The die was cast by virtue of the numbers. But in my book Mr. Cruz and Lee (and others) did all they could. The fought the good fight and that was all I could expect. The rest of the Republican party did what I expected them to do as well, cave in fear.

The real loser today is the Carl Rove wing of the party. A wing that stands ready to fight until, of course, a fight breaks out. The Rove wing is held hostage inside the Beltway and fed only the siren song of the Beltway media. Puppets on a string shrinking in fear of dissaproval from a media that hates them. Earth to Rove Wing, you will find a hot reception when you come down from the Olympus Beltway. Good luck winning elections without the base.

Quote: “If the Tea Party in congress doesn’t get rid of boner, they now fall into the “worthless” category.”

How are they useless? They do not have the votes in the caucus to get rid of Boehner. The point of the Tea Party is to stand on principle whether they win, lose or draw.

You don’t offend me but if my 40 year business does not have me to run it... and I have cut back to the bone and I wear the CEO hat all the way down to the janitorial hat... my business and employees will be out of business. I can’t leave without destroying my life.

Something Rush said needs to be repeated... there has NEVER been a million man march on DC that EVER did anything more than shape opinions... we got that thanks to the Vets. The ONLY way we win is through the ballot box or the ammo box. I prefer the ballot box but we may end up with the ammo box.

CNN’s Van Jones?
Guess the communist news network and Jones feel it’s safe to slither out from under the rocks.

Keep an eye on Jones. He is Obama’s thug muscle and he is slick.

Jones is not hired by cnn to make money for cnn. He’s there to spread the word. CNN makes up the loss somewhere else. Isn’t that kind how commies a operate. Ea
Essentially cnn operates like a front group.

Any house member can introduce a bill to remove the speaker and he would have to schedule a vote within two legislative days, but a majority of house members would have to vote to remove him. If all the Democrats and more than 15 RINO’s in the house support Boehner then he would survive.

IMO Van Jones is quite dangerous as he is very smart. I really wish Glenn Beck could have finished the job of taking him out at the knees.
