Not the least surprising. Senator Tudor the Turtle is buying up votes in an election year because he knows a lot of people want him gone. Bringing home the bacon to save his bacon, and all that.

Bleah!

These beltway prostitutes are unbelievably expensive.

They don't see it that way. Since taxes are unlimited free money dropping a couple hundred million on a boondoggle to get back a couple thousand in campaign contributions, which is actually regulated, makes perfect sense.

Matthew 26:14 Then went one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests,

15 And said to them: What will you give me, and I will deliver him unto you? But they appointed him thirty pieces of silver.

16 And from thenceforth he sought opportunity to betray him.

Acts 1:16 Men, brethren, the scripture must needs be fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was the leader of them that apprehended Jesus:

17 Who was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 And he indeed hath possessed a field of the reward of iniquity, and being hanged, burst asunder in the midst: and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so that the same field was called in their tongue, Haceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms: Let their habitation become desolate, and let there be none to dwell therein. And his bishopric let another take.

A 4 year project, that almost a QUARTER CENTURY LATER is still not done, has huge cost overruns, and is still being built using untested methods that have been a complete disaster.

Crazy.

They gave up even more power to the executive branch in exchange for a piece of silver.

Make Senate terms 2 years instead of 6 and limit them to 2 terms. Politician should never be a career choice.
