Well, this is just more of the baptism of fire that Cruz is going to have to learn to endure if he actually runs for president. If it’s false, Cruz, then just tell the devil that he’s full of baloney, grin with the joy of the Lord, and fight with a will. I’m pullin’ for ya and so are millions of other Americans, and God too.

I really think part of this is that Cruz is a Freshman Senator. The Senate has always been an “old boys (and girls) club”. Seniority counts for much in the Senate, considerably more than the House - unwritten rules, traditions, and all that. I’d lay good odds that had it been Orin Hatch who’d drawn a line in the sand (ha! fat chance of that, right?) McCain would be far softer-spoken in his criticisms.
I’m not eliminating the RINO factor, of course. I’m just saying I think there’s an element of Cruz being seen as the outspoken pledge telling the most elite (and elitist) fraternity in history what they’re doing wrong.

Sad to see the thinly veiled glee from the likes of weak-kneed ‘pubs like Perino and Krauthammer at the way this is turning out - afterall they predicted that it would go this way, and now they can all but say I told you so - Krauthammer complains that Obama is trying to fracture the Republicans, but no one does a better job of fracturing that party than those who supposedly belong to it and support its goals, but can’t look at the long-term picture and defend what’s going on now to try to further those goals......

We have the worst president in the history of this nation. An illegal immigrant, muslim, communist who despises this nation and despises everyone throughout history who made this nation great.

We all lose with an agreement to cave and increase the debt limit. Why can’t the GOP stick together to principles like the Dems even though the Dems are always wrong?
McCain is NOT a leader and never was one. He should retire at the end of his term. There is no reason to speak against a colleague publicly, especially when you are wrong.
