Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) didnt defund Obamacare. He drove a government shutdown. His party is tanking in the polls.
But he couldnt be happier.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Cruz called the Houses actions a remarkable victory and a profile in courage.
Cruz has emerged as the latest celebrity politician who doesnt need big policy achievements to build his cred, but a following on the far right of his party.

It was fun to see the sock puppet Boehner with Cruz’ hand inside him making him say all sorts of out of character things.
May be what is called the ‘far right’ isn’t so far out. Time will tell.
The left wants us to be demoralized.
I say they need to be worried.
The Dems own this mess.
Obamacare is a disaster, but the MSM won’t touch it.
To them, everything is just Jim Dandy - great economy, jobs for everyone, health care for everyone, all is well according to the enablers.
The lines are clearly drawn. We know who are the democrats in the Republican party. GO TEA PARTY!!
No no no no! We’re all deeply demoralized, barely able to function, let alone drag ourselves to the polls, or gather more than a handful to a protest, nope, nothing for the left to worry about or even notice here!
They get the daily WH talking points and report only what the WH tell them to. I’m not that far off.
Cruz was on Mark Levin tonight. He was of great spirits and basically said look this was our fist skirmish we knew we were taking on all of the Ruling class including the Republicans. Stay firm, I am convinced Cruz has a long term battle plan. This was like the Doolittle raid over Tokyo in WW2, it was to let the old guard know they are no longer insulated from attacks. He fully knows what he is up against.
These days you cant tell if its Fox News or PMSNBC whining about Cruz
Pretty much now....if you think Fox News is conservative...you probably not a conservative
Meanwhile, the RCP Marxist Approval Average hit an all time low today: 43-51 (Approval-Disapproval). This fight clearly isn’t over, and a LOT of us (50% of the GOP) are pissed off.
I don’t agree surrendering will do nothing.
The democrats will simply correctly point out all the costly theater for nothing. This is like going to war only to surrender at the last minute. If that was to make a statement then its a horridly overpriced one.
If the republican party surrenders, then the republican party is as good as dead. There can be no point to supporting a party that is garented to cave before its rivals. We have nothing to gain from any victory under such a party just as we have never gained anything but larger government.
The John can bring the party to an end just don’t expect us to show up next time. Your parties obviously are for nothing meaningful.
Mike Lee is also saying that this is a long term fight and we won’t win every battle but we will win the war.
They are and they should be.
That is naturally racist and dosen;t support Dear Leader, so the MSM will ignore it.
"They" ain't stupid!..I've employed too many of them..
100% in agreement with you on that. Ted has a spine.
We have a leader now, MSNBC, don’t get mad.
> Right is right. Cruz fought the good fight and will prove to be on the right side of history on Obamacare.
My sentiments exactly. Lets see if the Left is so critical of him after they have to pay their ACA premiums a few times and find out what’s in it...
Fools at PMSNBC! This is just a skirmish. The battle has yet to be fully waged.
As in Crusades?
Do these journalists have ANY education?
The Crusades lasted a whole lot longer than three weeks.
I’m with Cruz. This was fought far past when anyone thought this would go. This is the first real fight and the congress is more conservative than it has been. No time to quit.
We Can ask Aliyah Frumin in a couple of months how Obamacare is treating folks. Then remind her / him that Cruz was warning us.
