HOUSTON - Call them the door-to-door salesmen of Obamacare. A couple of cheerful young men wearing identical T-shirts and carrying a clipboard full of pamphlets walks through a neighborhood near Hobby Airport in southeast Houston.
One of the groups working to enroll Texans is the Texas Organizing Project, a decidedly Democratic organization sharply critical of Gov. Rick Perry and other state Republican leaders.
There are people like Phyllis Pharr found sitting on her porch, smoking a cigarette next to the birdcage housing a pet cockateel named George. She tried to do some research, but didn't get very far.
"Their website is just awful," Pharr said. "I'm sorry, it's absolutely horrible."
She has health insurance through her employer, but she hoped the new health care exchanges would offer her an alternative.
"I'm not impressed," she says. "It is expensive. It's not as cheap as I thought it would be.
"I'm hoping that they can do something for people who need insurance outside of their work," Pharr said. "But I don't see where this is going to help a lot."

Wonder if they are taking names/addresses for future reference of contact?
Love the comments at the site.
“It is expensive. It’s not as cheap as I thought it would be.”
This is what happens when you believe the liar-in-chief.
They should be “disappeared”
Wait 'til you see what it costs after amnesty with 30 million illegals added to the rolls.
Two guys in matching t-shirts show up at the front door, begin asking personal questions...and the residents start blabbling.
What could go wrong.
Dollars to donuts, she doesn't have a clue that she is required to purchase health insurance or pay a fine.
Shoulda named the cockateel "Dubya".
These types better refrain from stepping on MY property.
They probably will. It will be called the "High Risk Citizens Detainment & Safety Act". They'll have a full branding package and logo when they roll the idea out.
At first it will seem like the Quisling Party is holding strong but public sentiment and the fear of the "media" will drive 5, then, 10 then, 25 of them over to voting for it's passage. In the 11th Hour, Boehner (or somebody just like him, just less orange) will sign it into law.
They'll have negotiated in having a 4 minute break for your dark bread and gruel. The four minutes break would have actually already been in the bill as a five minute break.
Secret messages circulating through the cells will be published for the public. 50% of them will say, "We just need to vote the RINOS out and take over the party"
If they show up at my doorstep I’m going to find out who they work for, who pays them, where they’re from, how many of them there are, etc...
Probably a tie in to ACORN somewhere I’d guess...
“Does anyone else know you’re here?”
Most of the comments sound like they are posted by conservatives. The good stuff is going to be posted when the liberals figure out they’ve been duped by their king and are going to have to pay the consequences too. Our we big “we told you so” about this guy being a really bad idea is coming soon.
> Does anyone else know youre here?
You know that’s coming. 0’s pedophiles on the streets with a clipboard going door to door. What could possibly go wrong?
You have a wonderfully evil mind.
30 million part time Taco Bell workers? They're coming for your job, your healthcare, your guns, your money, and you must submit!
