A bomb in a mosque killed a provincial governor Tuesday in the highest profile assassination in recent months, part of an intensified campaign to intimidate Afghanistans administration as it prepares for elections and the withdrawal of foreign troops after 12 years of war.
The bomb killed Gov. Arsallah Jamal of eastern Logar province as he delivered a speech at the main mosque in the provincial capital of Puli Alam to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha. The attack also wounded 15 people, five of them critically, said his spokesman, Din Mohammad Darwesh.

Aaaaah, the old bomb in the microphone ploy.
It looks just like a Telefunken U47.
Only fanatical Muslims would think that Allah approves of murdering people in Mosques. That’s the kind of guy Allah is.
I’ve had the evil thought that the best place to put a weapon for assassination, would be in a TV camera. It’s the only way the target would happily put himself right in your sights.
Probably been done in the movies, but I dunno.
Black helicopters will descend on your address in 3....2...1...

That's a bomb in a bull.
“And if I’m wrong, may Allah strike me down dead.”
You are wrong.
That is an evil post you just did.
Here in America, we VOTE people out of office.
Yeah, they last thing we need is for Obama to be immortalized like JFK.
Sounds like somebody rolled off a little of his top end.
I had the same thought, coolgenner.
islamists killing islamists at least keeps them for that time from killing anyone else.
