GQ has the depressing campaign post-mortem/autopsy with fallen angel Anthony Weiner ("The Year of Living Carlos Dangerously," heh), and it's what we've come to expect from a man who can talk forever and say almost nothing. Weiner, though — his candidacy and likely his political career dead and buried — did seem to let his guard down a bit when discussing his relationship. It gets dark.
Asked if he and Huma will stay together, Weiner responded: “One thing I’m grateful for is that now I’m under no obligation to answer anything like this,” he said. “But we’ve had a very rough time. It causes me a great deal of pain in the way she gets reported and the way she gets discussed. Her treatment in the press has been rough. It pains me because I deserve it. She doesn’t.
“I duck it as best I can,” he added, “but her reputation has become the Woman Who Married an Idiot and Stuck with Him. More of it rolls off my back, because that’s the way I am constitutionally. She’s more sensitive. I’m just an empty, soulless vessel, so it doesn’t hurt me as much.”
Weiner delivered that last remark with an utter lack of humor. Everyone's pretty tired of laughing anyway.
Sounds like he’s following a Hillary script: become a victim, even if you are a victim of your own passions.
The guy is saying the same thing Ubama would say if he was honest.
Geez...I can’t believe people continue to kick Weiner this way.

Sounds to me that he FINALLY is really sorry about what he put his wife through. We have a term called being a ‘mensch’. This is the first time I’ve seen his public comments sounding like he is finally understanding what being a husband is all about.
As much as I dislike her politics NO ONE deserves what she was put through.
I see less rationale for this marriage than I did for the Clintons marriage. I could see Hillary going for Bill when they were young-—he had a great personality and was smart and driven—they were both liberals as well. Neither of the Clintons were into politics yet. Weiner, a Jew (probably non-observant)has an obnoxious personality, nothing to look at, driven and not well liked by his colleagues when he was in Congress. Huma Abedine a Muslim who is up to her tuchas in Muslim Brotherhood connections, don’t know if she has a personality, not very good looking, driven (towards what?)—was Hillary the match maker here?
He will stay married to Huma as long as Huma is working as Hillary’s beard.
Huma will stay with Hillary as long as she is considered viable as Presidential candidate. Huma is in the best place right now for her friends & family of the Muslim Brotherhood, for information. If Hillary is elected President, Huma will be their top source.
She knew exactly what she was marrying.
It was a marriage of convenience designed to obscure Huma’s romantic relationship with Hillary, and to make the empty soulless Weiner seem more human.
He will be back. So will John Edwards, and a host of other “fallen angels.” If we ever get there, the race for 2016 is going to be a veritable pageant of lepers, freaks, and bomb throwers. All good street theater for the masses.
So sick of hearing about Anthony’s Weiner. He needs to fade quietly into the sunset.
