Not that Lonegan had much of a chance, but Christie did even worse to him than not campaigning for him. Christie moved the special election so that it would not correspond to his election. If he had been on the ticket with Lonegan, it could have boosted Steve’s chances.

The arena was arranged by his predecessor (Sharpe James). I am proud of the fact that while NJ has a hockey team, we no longer have an NBA team. People have offered me free tickets to see the NJ Devils in Northern Zaire, and I’ve steadfastly refused. I won’t pretend that white people have any business being in Newark when the sun goes down...
