CNNs Jim Acosta called out one of his colleagues on the air Thursday for referring to members of the Tea Party as radicals.
The admonishment came during a larger discussion about the partial government shutdown and who is to blame for the 16-day halt in federal activity.
The sort of Tea Party radicals, if you like, who kicked all of this off, they electorally are safe. Theyre not going to lose their seats because of redistricting and the like, CNN anchor Michael Holmes said. Theyre more about ideology than pragmatism or bipartisanship. What chance theyre going to change their minds at all when we get to January and its talk time again?
Acosta, CNNs senior White House correspondent, wasnt exactly thrilled with Holmes characterization of the Tea Party.

Not only do we feel like we are standing on principle today, we know a lot more people will agree with us as they find out what a monstrous screw up Obamacare really is. The train wreck of signing up is but a whiff of the pile of crap that is going to come crashing down on us.
The TPs are more about principles that have proven to promote the common good over time. Dems are idealogues; progression for its own sake and history, human nature and reason be damned.
being fiscally responsible...hell, being responsible at all... is now considered ‘radical’
then you’ve got me. I’m a crazy nut job.
of course, if being responsible and concerned about the financial stability of this country makes me a radical...
what does that make those being irresponsible and trying / succeeding to destroy the financial foundations of the country?
I believe the proper term would be treasonous traitors
My read, he is physic and is planning for the future.
I’m sick of the libs calling the TEA Party radicals and the conservative on the panel never says that BO and the extreme lefties are the real radicals and point out why and the difference between the two. I never see a conservative talking head do this. Never, they just let the lib guests continue to get away with calling us radicals with no comeback.
CNNs Jim Acosta is apparently looking to get fired.
Well, we are radical. We want to turn over the entire system created by D’s and many R’s. I’m over 60 and the people that run things today are clones of who ran things when I was a teenager.
Obama was nuts. He’s not fundamentally transforming America. He’s just continuing the same ol’ same ol’ from the last 70 years. Fundamental transformation requires a HUGE paring down of federal power and the state governments. The folks in power don’t like even the idea of a fundamental change one little bit.
It’s fun to see this stuff but I’m starting to wonder if they are staged to try to get us to tune in hoping to see more of it.
