Mother Of Murdered Teen Boy Outraged That ‘Alpha Dog’ Kidnapper Granted Parole
CBS Los Angeles ^ | October 18, 2013

The mother of a teen boy kidnapped and murdered more than a decade ago is voicing her outrage that one of the defendants is about to be released from prison.

“I have lost a sense of justice. I have lost Nick all over again. It’s like him dying all over again,” Susan Markowitz told CBS2/KCAL9 reporter Randy Paige.

In August 2000, 15-year-old Nicholas Markowitz was kidnapped because of a drug debt his half brother owed a dealer named Jesse James Hollywood.

The innocent teen was held for three days, then tied up with duct tape and led to a shallow grave where he was shot nine times. Markowitz’s last days inspired the 2006 film “Alpha Dog,” which featured an A-list cast and garnered international attention.

Hollywood, considered the mastermind behind the brutal murder, was convicted of murder and sentenced to life without the possibility of parole.

The shooter, Ryan Hoyt, was convicted of murder and sentenced to death.

Jesse Rugge, now 33, was convicted of kidnapping and sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in 2002.

“He walked my son up to the grave that was already dug. He walked him up and he duct-taped his hands behind his back and his feet together and told Nick, ‘I’m not going to hurt you,” Susan Markowitz said. “And Nick responded, ‘I know you won’t.’ How can you say that and then follow through after looking into those innocent eyes that are now crying…that’s a special kind of evil.”

This week the California state parole board granted Rugge’s request for parole. He is scheduled to be released Tuesday.

“It’s very upsetting to think he’s going to get out and get married because he has a fiancée and have babies,” Markowitz said.

“The things you always dreamed about for your son?” Paige said.

“Yes. He was my only child,” Markowitz said.

The state parole board declined Paige’s request for an on-camera interview, saying it’s policy not to comment on specific cases. The board said they based their decision on a finding that the prisoner “no longer poses an unreasonable risk of danger to the public.”

“What do you say to those who say everyone should get a second chance and that’s what the justice system is about. When you show that you are not a danger to society and you’ve learned your lesson should you have a chance to go free?” Paige said to Markowitz.

“I think that when it involves taking the life of another that you should forfeit yours,” said Markowitz, who said the parole board’s decision has denied her son the justice he deserves.

That’s California for you. The home of freed killers and commies, wacko politicians, adulterers, druggies, Rap/Hip Hop gang murders, and Charles Manson wannabes.

Does God hate America so much that he cursed us with the leftists of California, or is this an aberration that has become “normal”?

Wait... what? So what does “without the possibility of parole” actually mean?

As far as I can see, starting in the early 70s the left-wing in this country began a concerted effort to take over the public school systems, both K-12 and universities, and also began to take over the major media institutions, both Hollywood and the TV networks.

Financial conservatives and libertarians aren't primarily concerned with social matters. And social conservatives have reacted by holding their noses and turning their backs on those institutions - a sure formula for defeat. The Left took over the educational system and Big Media by default, without a fight.

If social conservatives want their values to prevail in US culture and society, they have to get involved by becoming part of the biggest influences on culture and society - withdrawing and becoming insular isn't going to do it. Social conservatives should encourage interest by their kids in entering the entertainment and education fields - and not at specifically Christian institutions. Reach a critical mass at the major institutions and these young men and women will start to set the agenda for these institutions. It's how the Left won, and why they are setting the social agenda in this country.

Read it again.

Rugge's sentence included the possibility of parole. In his case, life with "possible" meant 12 years.

God doesn’t and never has hated America. The problem is that the majority of those living in America hate God. And neither he nor His influence will stay where they are not wanted. And that is where America finds itself today. If you think that things are bad now, just wait until tomorrow. Pull your belts tight because the ride is just starting.

We have a friend who's daughter was murdered when her boyfriend poured Drano down her throat. Whenever he is up for parole all their friends write letters to the parole board to keep the monster in there. So far so good.

This is unbelievable.

It's not like he murdered the kid in a barfight or that the kid was a bystander in a botched convenience store robbery. He murdered a helpless, restrained kid deliberately, in cold blood, after toying with him.

He is a stone cold psychopath.

It is simply a matter of time before he does something like this again. And there is no way the judge does not realize this.

Our ideological enemy at that time knew that we would not be defeated on the battlefield and that any one-on-one physical war would end with nuclear annihilation.

Better to tap into our psychology and manipulate our behavior via our beliefs and emotions.

The fittest survivor is not always the physically larger and stronger. No matter how fast and powerful the hardware, a little bug in the software will bring it down.

Convert enough hearts and minds and sooner or later your enemy will demonstrate the ancient wisdom that a house divided against itself cannot stand. We broadcast Radio Free America from the outside, but they countered with a long term plan from within.

Interestingly enough, that bug our enemy planted here killed them before it got us and now our roles are being reversed, as they recover while we succumb.

Yes, you are right. In the 1920s, the influential Italian communist Antonio Gramsci wrote that in order to take over a country or a society, communists first had to take over its “institutions,” by which he meant the media, the education system, the universities, the legal profession, voluntary organisations and churches. Methodically, and slowly but surely, his idea was put into practice in our country. All of those very institutions have been taken over by the far Left in our country, and they are now taking us to our doom.

The problem isn't so much the violence, but the disposition of the case.

But you are correct, parole boards suck all over the country.

Don't say anything. Kill the son of a b!tch as soon an he gets released.

That's what I would do if he killed one of my children.
