Mitch McConnell Attacks Conservative Group for Endorsing Primary Opponent
Big Government ^ | 10/20/2013 | MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 10/20/2013 6:24:25 PM PDT by markomalley

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s campaign spokeswoman Allison Moore attacked the Senate Conservatives Fund for endorsing McConnell’s primary challenger Matt Bevin on Friday. “Matt Bevin now has the dubious honor of standing with a self-serving D.C. fundraising group that made its name by recruiting and promoting unelectable candidates that ensured Barack Obama a majority in the Senate,” Moore said in a statement to the Washington Post. “They clearly care less about Kentuckians than they do about their reputation for supporting laughably bad candidates. Now they can add a New England bailout recipient who claims he went to MIT to their roster of notable failures."

The Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF), the group Moore was referring to, was instrumental in helping Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) win their races for the U.S. Senate against establishment candidates.

“Matt Bevin is a true conservative who will fight to stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country,” SCF executive director Matt Hoskins said in a Friday morning statement.

He is not afraid to stand up to the establishment and he will do what it takes to stop Obamacare. We know that winning this primary won't be easy. Mitch McConnell has the support of the entire Washington establishment and he will do anything to hold on to power. But if people in Kentucky and all across the country rise up and demand something better, we're confident Matt Bevin can win this race.

Nice projection there Miss Moore.

Can't the same be said about the NRSC and the RINOs who surrender to Obama at every turn?

Looks like Mitch knows he is in trouble after supporting ObamaCare and getting the Kentucky Kickback.

Good to see Senate Conservatives Fund making way. Better than the Karl Rove groups, the US Cham of Commerce, Norquist’s terror supporting ACU, and other assorted GOP pro-ObamaCare groups

Allison, honey, Mitch the Vichy Republican is well on the way to proving himself "unelectable". He is already trailing the Democrat nominee in the polls.

So, may I ask whether it might be appropriate for Kentucky Republicans to vote for a real conservative -- instead of a Democrat collaborator?

You folks in Washington really should spend more time out here, talking to the folks...and taking their opinion into account.

“supporting laughably bad candidates”

Just to put this in perspective, she is saying the candidates who have been endorsed by SCF and both won and lose, were laughably bad. That’s several of Mitch’s colleagues.

F U Senator.

Time to get rid of this creep and his creepy staff.

Mitch,

It’s time for your wimpy old ass to retire. You are an embarrassment to your country, your state and to your family. You have caved to the destruction of America at every turn. Shut up and quit attacking the people who want your grandchildren to have a future. Go home.

Sincerely

We are not going to get this country back until we pass laws demanding that senators and representatives MUST take their own staff from their own state to DC and that staff must return to the state when they leave. There is a permanent group of people who run DC and it is not the senators or representatives, it is the staff.

It is not an accident Mitch.
Restoring conservatism by all means necessary, means you have to go. Sorry, nothing personal.

Twenty years is more than enough time for you to realize that we are in a fatal political war.
One that we don't intend to lose.

Unelectable candidates like Scott Brown, George Allen, whoever lost in North Carolina, Mitt Romney, Carly Fiorina, etc. etc. It seems like the Tea Party, which has elected the likes of Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson and Pat Toomey (the latter two in deep blue states) has a better track record than the GOPe in getting congressional seats.

It boils down to message and money. That election in Kentucky is perhaps *the* most important congressional election in 2014. Prayers, dollars, and voices are encouraged.
