Who hired the Law Enforcement Snipers at Keene Pumpkin Fest 2013?
storify.com ^

Posted on 10/22/2013 4:44:50 AM PDT by Red in Blue PA

Graham Colson, an area resident for 15+ years who has been to Keene Pumpkin Fest for just as long, said the presence of snipers was unprecedented. He was able to take the above image of a two person sniper team on the rooftop of the Keene Apartments building overlooking Roxbury & Central Square earlier today.

KPD Confirms: "The pictures you put on your website were police officers."

Keene Law Enforcer walks in front of traffic to avoid question about Pumpkin Fest Snipers

In the video below, Garret Ean of Keene Peaceful Streets asks Jason Short a question about the mysterious sniper teams atop city rooftops during the Pumpkin Fest celebration earlier in the day. To avoid answering this simple question Officer Short does something both illegal and dangerous.

They probably had orders to look for Tea Party Members or those holding Gadsden Flags.

Perhaps the term “sniper team” is not correct. The armed officers are observing the gathering from a vantage not possible on the ground.

Then why are they armed w/ a rifle? If the mission was to observe then binos/telescope/camera would be in order.

Next question...why would you need such a setup at a pumpkin festival?

Or ‘policing’ their own area.

Couple of years ago I was at a fuel/rest stop and took some accumulated trash (empty coffee cup and food wrapper) from the cab of my truck to the nearby trash bin and deposited it.
A guy with a broom and long handled ‘dust pan’ came over and thanked me -
I told him if everyone was anywhere near being like me, he would be out of a job.
Without ‘pigs’ and unthoughtful people, they would have no use for him.

He then ‘scolded’ me for depositing my own little bag of trash.

Of course that is ‘Liberal’ justification for being trashy, ‘I will just knock someone out of a ‘job’or - let him get it, that is what he is getting paid for’.

Yeah, just because there is a long gun on a bipod in front of them, a spotter scope to the right, and a range card conveniently taped to the knee wall doesn’t NECESSARILY mean they are a sniper team.

However, it might be “a clue”.

I just heard a “report” of a possible shooter near your house. I think they should surround your house with sniper teams on tall buildings, with rifles and pictures of your house and property with all the ranges filled in, just in case.

"Next question...why would you need such a setup at a pumpkin festival?"

City Manager to Police Chief, 2003: "Chief, I see your SWAT team cost the city three million dollars last year, and it was only called out twice, to serve regular drug warrants. We're going to have to trim that back to one million."

City Manager to Police Chief, 2013: "Chief, I see your SWAT team was called out 327 times last year! Wow! Great work! Do you need more money? And I heard there is a new federal program where they'll even pay for armored personnel carriers and helicopters too."

Yeah, a guy who comes out on stage with cymbals attached to his knees, a harmonica on a frame in front of his face, a banjo, a guitar, a tambourine and a drum with a foot petal is not necessarily doing a one man band routine, he might be about to recite some Shakespeare.

Being that they were “outed” by common civilians means they could have been “taken out” by targets they were looking for !

- Over 15% picked:

Hillary Rodham Clinton

- Free Republic is now infected with radical leftists - usually on every thread - diverting, trolling, killing threads and any conservative opposition.

Remember the motto on police cars? To intimidate and Harass. If the primary goal is intimidation and harassment, being visible is necessary. Military snipers hide. Police snipers strut and posture.

What sends a red flag up about this is when Jason Short was asked a question about the deployment of snipers he walks away. If he would have responded that there was a tip or threat of violence then the stationing of a sniper team would be understandable and the correct thing to do.
