Virginia turns permanently ‘rat? Next: Florida. then: Texas.

Our Republic is dead.

Yep. We've lost the war of demographics. Winning over a slim majority of white males and married white females (while overwhelmingly losing everyone else) just doesn't cut it anymore.

The people who constantly scream “voter fraud!” are just whistling past the graveyard...

I agree... while some fraud exists, the far larger problem is that America is a dying country, afflicted with a terminal cancer of entitlement addiction.

The 17 point margin seems awfully large, irrespective of how weak Cuccinelli is as a candidate. In New Jersey, one of the bluest of states, a conservative Republican lost the race to take the US Senate seat, but received 45% of the vote. The only Republican area in New Jersey is the northwestern counties bordering Pennsylvania. Most of rural and small town Virginia is Republican.

Ok, is Cucinnelli a Rino or teaparty and who do we blame for losing.

(this is a serious question ?)

Hampton Roads is vastly different now than when I moved here in 1995

I remember as a kid (wasn't that long ago), we would walk in the woods in the Vienna/Oakton area all day, and almost never see a trace of civilization. And most of the people who lived there were not feasting off of other people's labor. Very sad. You have to go well out 66 to get a taste of what NOVA used to be like. Heck, Fairfax(!) used to be considered a redneck town.

Only if the “Whig RINO” Party would get it’s plug pulled.

That's a mere side show to the far greater issue... that Americans don't want to be a free people anymore. Under Obama, they've grown to accept their chains and are craving yet more.

I agree. While VA is well on its way to being a Democrat state, it's not Massachusetts. My guess is that when all is said and done, it will be in the 6-8 point range. 17 points is not credible.

Cuccinelli has TEA Party support and is far closer to TP ideals than RINO. As for who do we blame? It's not so much "Who," as "What," and that "What" is the surrender of the American populace to the notion almighty government knows best. Not to mention the dems have a 25-30% lead among women. That "right" to a dead baby apparently something very important to them.

Not yet, anyway... depending on how the GOPers fare in the legislative races, I'd say VA is closer to MD.

Northern Virginia has been taken over by the Rat feces..VA is basically a done deal

The abortion issue has always worked against Republicans in Virginia. That was true before Northern Va. became a major factor, the election in which Doug Wilder won over Marshall Coleman in 89 was the same thing.

Here's what Senator Ted Cruz thinks of Ken Cuccinelli ....

“How proud I am of my friend, Ken Cuccinelli. Ken is smart, he’s principled and he’s fierce. . .He loves liberty and the constitution.”

Most of rural and small town Virginia is Republican.

Which represents the one flicker of hope that McAuliffe's Obama/Clinton-dictated agenda can be slowed by a still-GOP House of Delegates.

The biggest implication here is it will hand Virginia to Hillary Clinton in 2016

That was a given anyway... this state -- for some unknown reason -- just loves Hillary.

Next: Florida.

Nezt? Florida is likely blue from here on out.

There are enough illegal criminals in Orlando and the Tampa/Clearwater area to give the RATs a big edge.

In the last 6 years, hordes of illegal third world scum have been routed to Florida "by handlers." The RATs are playing for keeps.
