Democrat Terry McAuliffe has jumped to a 17-point lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the Virginia gubernatorial race following the federal government shutdown that hit Northern Virginia hard and Hillary Clinton’s weekend visit to the state.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Virginia Voters finds McAuliffe with 50% support to Cuccinelli’s 33%. Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis is a distant third with eight percent (8%) of the vote. Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, while five percent (5%) remain undecided.

“Do you think they would nuke is?”

I’d turn around that around and ask you. Take all that you know and have seen about dear leader, hillary, hairy, nancy, and the rest of our ‘good friends’ and then ask yourself that question.

I’m very much against states seceding from the union.

I am very much against living in a dictatorship and very much hoping for secession.

The Republican establishment just doesn’t get it

Oh, they get it, all right.

I'm not sure you do.

Obama spoke about a month ago, referring to the Democrats as the "governing party". In the emerging dictatorship, the GOPe wants to be the "official, legal opposition". Their "leaders" will get cars, salaries, and seats in Congress.

Their greatest fear is that, when the Cuccinellis, Cruzes, and Palins are silenced, that the "governing party" will not recognize the GOPe as true and loyal allies.

They absolutely do "get it". Do you?

I’d take my chances seceding than going down the current path to destruction.

RE :”Libs will be dancing ‘I told you so’, at least this year anyway.
.......
RINOS such as McCain, Graham and King will be dancing ‘I told you so’, at least this year anyway. “

I just thought about this one a little more.
This is 100% correct.

When Cuccinelli loses VA and Christie wins NJ by a big margin they will hail the ‘complete repudiation of radical conservationism’ and celebrate the dawn of the ‘new age of moderate conservatism’ and declare anyone not embracing that tenet a enabler of Obama.

Its not going to be pretty.

Good thing I have MeTV,

It’s about +8 w/o the crazy Rasmussen poll. Nonetheless, hasn’t Cuccinelli gone a little soft? I’d heard that he’s moved left. Is that true?

Well, I think you’re going to get your wish whether I like it or not. I just pray that the resulting piles of dead Americans will be kept to a minimum.

End absentee voting and a lot of the urban problem disappears. They’re mostly elderly black women doing the voting.

The only good thing I know about VA politics is that each party gets a chance to run for governor every time without an incumbent in the race. No other state has this feature. McAuliffe may get that changed. Otherwise, VA Is Stuck on Stupid.

That tells me more about Virginia and I guess bloomberg will be Governor after mcawful... or maybe dennis kucinich or corey booker.

I get what you’re saying, Jim.

It’s very clear to me that the only way we’ll ever defeat the “governing party” is to first defeat the GOPe.

The GOPe is the “fellow traveler” of the modern era.
