EDITORIAL: Cuccinelli for governor
Washington Times ^ | Monday, October 21, 2013 | Editorial

At first glance, the race for governor of Virginia may look like a contest between a rock-ribbed conservative Republican and a dyed-in-the-wool liberal Democrat, but there’s more at stake than that. Ken Cuccinelli is a small-government conservative, and his Democratic opponent, Terry McAuliffe, has never seen a problem that he thinks couldn’t be solved by raising taxes and feeding the beast. There’s much about Mr. Cuccinelli that should appeal to Northern Virginia moderates of both parties.

Mr. Cuccinelli sees a bigger and more intrusive government as a threat to basic civil liberties, a view shared by growing numbers of conservatives, moderates and liberals alike.

Mr. Cuccinelli has a passion for righting the wrongs in the legal system with ways not traditionally considered Republican, but he remains true to limited-government principles. “I’m the most pro-liberty elected statewide official in Virginia in my lifetime,” he says. “I don’t think it’s even a close call.”

That matters in Virginia, and it’s not just the National Security Agency snooping on innocent behavior. During the 2008 presidential campaign, the Virginia State Police started using license-plate scanners to track enthusiastic backers of Barack Obama, the Democratic nominee, and Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee.

Excellent and maybe even a surprise endorsement from a major newspaper.

This WT endorsement may provide Cuccinelli with the momentum to win.

The Clintons recently campaigned for their good buddy, McAuliffe. It was hugs and kisses all around---as Hill and Bill checked to make sure the Dem vote-fraud meat grinder is being readied for McA's opponent Ken Cuccinelli.

Mmmmmm....MUSTA SEEMED LIKE OLD TIMES---
WHEN HILLARY CAMPAIGNED FOR LOSER MCAULIFE--
losing candidate for the 2009 gov nom.

=====================================================

Observers say Virginia TV airs 2-3 McAuliffe ads against Cuccinelli ads---McAuliffe must be spending easily ten, twenty, fifty times what Cuccinelli is spending.

That's b/c McAuliffe is apparently polling well---and prolly receiving mucho campaign cash---from the "dearly departed" b/c a lawsuit Democrats filed says “the [VA State Board of Elections] is rushing to complete the purging of dead voters in time to have the desired effect on the upcoming gubernatorial election.....to make sure that those who no longer live here don’t vote here."

(cackle) The "dearly departed" are also Hillary voters. The buzz is Terry is 2016 Hillary's place-keeper. If elected, graverobber Terry will insure she has the votes to win. (That's after he rapes the VA state treasury.)

The Clintons are no doubt financing their old buddy McAuliffe.....b/c the Clintons have three (count 'em) three tax-exempt foundations worth millions to siphon off money from. YIKES---HORROR OF HORRORS The NYT just outed the Clinton tax-exempts for shady dealings. AND the Clintons even employed a Muslim Brotherhood activist at their do-good tax exempt.

Gehad el-Haddad
(The stupid Clintons did not know Gehad was Farsi for "jihad")

A senior Muslim Brotherhood official employed by the William J. Clinton Foundation was arrested in Cairo, charged with inciting violence. Gehad el-Haddad served as one of the Muslim Brotherhood’s top communications officials; he was a top Brotherhood official and adviser to Barack Obama's hand-picked Egyptian candidate, Morsi (now deposed).

Gehad el-Haddad served for five years as a top official at the Clinton Foundation, a tax-exempt do-good foundation founded by former President Bill Clinton. El-Haddad pushed the Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamist agenda in the foreign press, where he was often quoted defending the Brotherhood’s crackdown on civil liberties in Egypt.

Gehad became the public face of the Islamist terrorist organization soon after leaving his post at the Clinton Foundation. Much of Gehad's official terroristic-type work with the Muslim Brotherhood took place while he was still claiming to be employed by the Clinton Foundation.

It's really pretty simple. If the Libertarian candidate gets out of the race, Cuccinelli wins. I suspect this will be the strategy of RATs going forward. If your a RAT in a tight race, contribute some big bucks to a 3rd party candidate to siphon off votes from the GOP candidate and the Stoopid Party candidate loses again.

Too bad Mr. Cuccinelli hadn’t been making the point earlier in the election cycle.

DC media effectively drowns out anything not to their liking.

“DC media effectively drowns out anything not to their liking.”

Yup. They do. I think that Mr. Cuccinelli is naive if he didn’t assume that would happen.

This WT endorsement may provide Cuccinelli with the momentum to win.

Newspaper endorsements don't translate into votes. If Rasmussen's latest polling data which indicates McAuliffe is up by 17 points is correct, then this endorsement is not just meaningless, it's far too late to have any minimal impact whatsoever.

Amen Sister!

Dear Lord, expose the corruption of Mr. McAuliffe and turn the hearts of the electorate away from him and towards Mr. Cuccinelli.
