House Speaker John A. Boehner predicted Wednesday that by the end of the month, more Americans will have lost their insurance by being kicked off existing health plans than the number who were able to sign up in the flawed online healthcare.gov website.

I’ve had health insurance for over 25 years. Here’s an excerpt from the letter I just got from my insurance company:

“NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

This notice is to inform you that your current policy/certificate with Celtic Insurance Company (”Celtic”) is not fully compliant with the new Health Care reform laws. Therefore it is necessary for Celtic to cancel its in-force block of individually underwritten major medical insurance policies. This includes your policy/certificate.”

Obamacare is like your local fire department buying new fire trucks filled with kerosene, if you refuse to pay them while your house is burning down they will happily just make the fire bigger.

And STILL they will send you a bill if you refuse to pay.

That is just a little arithmetic that had not been adequately explained up to now. Enact a punitive measure that applies to all but certain excepted classes, then make it difficult or impossible to comply with the statutory demands, by either taking away an option once available, or making that option prohibitively expensive.

If you are Muslim, you are not required to participate in this “health insurance” scheme. If you are below a certain level of income, and have the right validations, the contribution will be made on your behalf.

Everything permitted is still prohibited.

"WASHINGTON -- The Republican chairman of a key congressional oversight committee has asked Google, Microsoft and three other companies to provide details on their possible involvement in a "tech surge" aimed at fixing a website implementing President Obama's signature healthcare law.

Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, made the request in a letter to Google, Microsoft, Verizon Enterprise Solutions, Oracle and Expedia, committee spokeswoman Caitlin Carroll said.

Issa, a relentless critic of the Obama administration, wants information on contacts the companies may have had with the White House about the Healthcare.gov website by Friday. Carroll called it the first step of a "rolling inquiry" that could include other companies.

The five named companies were selected because of press reports about their potential involvement in fixing the website, Carroll said.

Google, Oracle and Verizon declined to comment on the letter. Microsoft and Expedia could not be immediately reached for comment....................." More

"FARGO – The Obama administration asked North Dakota’s largest health insurer not to publicize how many people have signed up for health insurance through a new online exchange, a company official says.

During a Monday forum in Fargo for people interested in signing up for coverage via the exchange, James Nichol of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota told the crowd his company received the request from the federal government earlier Monday. Nichol is a consumer sales manager for the company.

Still, a spokeswoman from Blue Cross Blue Shield says about 14 North Dakotans have signed up for coverage since the federal exchange went live Oct. 1. That brings total statewide enrollment to 20 – less than one a day.

Spokeswoman Andrea Dinneen said Tuesday that while Blue Cross generally does not release its internal sales numbers, it has in this case because the problematic rollout of the federal health care exchange is a “unique situation.”

Dinneen said she didn’t have any information about the directive that Nichol referenced Monday night.

An official from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, one of the main the federal agencies handling the federal marketplace, would not directly address questions about the request made of Blue Cross Blue Shield, including whether other insurers were also asked to keep quiet about enrollment................"More

A guest on Fox and Friends this morning was describing the “death spiral” that is coming for insurance exchanges, as only desperate and ill will hang on to sign up; the young and healthy will be fewer; rates will shoot up; young and healthy will bail; rates will shoot even higher; insurance company fails.

Even if it was stopped or repealed today, insurance carriers will still be sending out cancellation notices. They are still working under the cancellation model.

The House has passed 40 anti-Obamacare bills.

Symbolic resolutions/bills/votes at best.

They have the power of the purse and could have defunded it at any time but lacked the backbone, guts, courage, will, whatever, to do it.

Those 40 bills are absolutely useless and are representative of the Collaberators game they are playing, say a lot of things to fool the rubes/conservatives at home to get their votes, but refuse to do what they know will actually fix the problem.

Wow, a single vote.

Too bad when Ted Cruz stood up willing to take all the arrows, accusations, and bad-mouthing from BOTH the Democrats/Republicans, Boehner faded into the woodwork.

He is supposed to be the leader of the House.

Where was the communication on this issue?

Where was the whipping his side of the house into line?

Why the secret negotiations with the Whitehouse to allow his support staff to opt-out of Obamacare?

In short, where was the leadership?

You can de-fund it...and then what kind of legislation will you get thru the Senate to turn it back to the free market.

TORT reform, Medicare reform, transactions across state lines...NONE will pass.

So insurance companies will still continue to drop people because the ACA mandates will STILL BE IN PLACE...just not funded.

Makes no sense.

You do what you can do when you can do it.

By doing so, you rally conservatives and Republicans to your side, thereby setting up landslide victories.

As a leader, you DO NOT tout what you have done when you have done, in reality, next to nothing.

John Boehner has done next to nothing. In fact, he has materially harmed the GOP Brand by his feckless, cowardly leadership.

He, and those in his corner, are nothing but Collaborators.

If you defund Obamacare and at the same time can't get legislation thru that releases insurance companies from ACA mandates this increases the problem.

That's the sure way to lose the House, not win more seats.

If you are going to defund, you have to have some realistic reforms ready to pass into law to fix the problems.

Sorry, but I doubt that.

And furthermore, even if it was true, it does nothing to release John Boehner from his feckless, cowardly leadership.

He has caved on almost every single issue, all the time saying symbolic, worthless statements and doing things that were also, symbolic and worthless in terms of being an opposition to the Marxist in the White House.

Boehner needs to be retired.

Sorry, but I doubt that.

If you think independents are going to vote for conservatives for defunding Obamacare with no hope of any reforms making it into law you don't get politics.

It's easy to trash Boehner at every turn. But come up with real ideas that make sense? That's harder to do.

It's easy to trash Boehner at every turn. But come up with real ideas that make sense? That's harder to do.

It's easy to trash Boehner because of his record.

And alot of those independents are disaffected conservatives who see the lack of conservative leadership in the GOP.

And funding everything BUT Obamcare, which was the original Ted Cruz plan, would have put the whole mess on the Democrats doorstep. But once again, the GOP Leadership was too cowardly.

This leadership problem isn't isolated to Obamacare.

The GOP leadership, from top-to-bottom , has been stuck on symbolic neutral from sometime now.

Instead of acting like the opposition to the Marxist, they've been acting like they are afraid of their shadows or afraid of their big-campaign cash contributors more than their constituents.

Just wait until they try to pass Amnesty.

It's up next...

Like I said before, they're nothing but a bunch of Collaborators.
